The Mystery Behind Gervonta Davis’s Sudden Removal from Topps Boxing Card Release — Fans Baffled Ahead of August 11 Launch

In a surprising twist that has left boxing fans and collectors buzzing with speculation, undefeated boxing star Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been removed from the highly anticipated Topps Boxing Card Collection scheduled for release on August 11.

The decision, which came without an official explanation from Topps or Davis’s camp, has sparked a wave of theories across social media. Collectors who had been eagerly awaiting Davis’s inclusion in the set — particularly given his massive popularity and recent ring dominance — are now left questioning what led to this sudden move.

Some fans have suggested it could be a licensing or contractual issue, while others are wondering if it may be linked to behind-the-scenes disputes or personal matters. Given Davis’s history of both in-ring brilliance and headline-grabbing controversies, the absence is raising more questions than answers.

The August 11 release was expected to feature some of boxing’s biggest names in a special edition set celebrating the sport’s rising stars and established champions. Davis’s removal not only alters the excitement around the drop but could also impact the long-term value of the collection for enthusiasts.

For now, neither Topps nor Davis has made a public statement addressing the decision, leaving the boxing community to speculate in the dark. As the release date approaches, the mystery surrounding Tank’s missing card is only intensifying — and fans are watching closely to see if any explanation emerges.

If the reason behind his removal is ever revealed, it could be just as dramatic as one of Davis’s famous knockouts. Until then, this card controversy might remain one of the most puzzling off-ring storylines in boxing this year.

Canelo Alvarez Could Unleash Brutal, Iconic Knockout on Terence Crawford, Warns Ryan Garcia

Ryan Garcia believes Canelo Alvarez’s power will stop Terence Crawford in his tracks.

Canelo and Crawford are set to go head-to-head in a super-fight on September 13.

The Mexican will defend his undisputed super middleweight belts when he enters the ring with ‘Bud’.

As the anticipation for their bout grows, predictions are quickly being made on which of the pound-for-pound greats will emerge victorious.

Fellow professional boxer, Garcia, has voiced his opinion on the matter in a clip shared on social media.

He said: “Right now, I would put my money on Canelo Alvarez. I can see Crawford getting knocked out in Amir Khan style.

When Canelo fought Khan in 2016, the former delivered what is widely regarded as the most devastating punch of his career.

Khan later compared Canelo’s knockout punch to being ‘hit with a baseball bat’.

When the Briton weighed in on fight night he was 158lbs, whereas Canelo scaled in at 187lbs.

Terence Crawford Warns World Champion ‘If There Were No Rules I’d Break Your Neck’

Terence Crawford is rarely anything but cool, calm and collected when he goes about his business in the sport of boxing, but one world champion has succeeded in getting a rise out of him.

The 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska recently further cemented his case as the best fighter on the planet by becoming a champion in his fourth division. That super-welterweight win over previously undefeated Israil Madrimov took ‘Bud’ Crawford to 41 wins with 31 knockouts and zero losses

Though he has been clear that he wants a fight with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, and there is a general feeling that it may be the only match-up he will take, there are plenty of other fighters looking for a shot at the man many consider the pound-for-pound number one.

That includes super-lightweight world champion Teofimo Lopez, who has been attempting to land the fight by any means necessary, including approaching Crawford at events and using controversial language perceived by most to be racist. He strongly denies that

Following a ringside altercation, Crawford said that he felt disrespected enough by Teofimo and his father / trainer Lopez Sr that he was willing to ‘beat his ass outside the ring.’ Though Lopez has responded to dismiss the idea, Crawford has now double down in a recent Instagram Live.

“If we was to fight right now on the streets I’d break your f***ing neck. And that’s on my kids. You know it, I know it and the whole word know it. And I’m not talking about no fighting in the ring. If me and you was to fight outside I’ll break your neck.”

It’s a new look from Crawford, who has even in his most competitive rivalries always remained respectful. Whether or not Lopez’ quest to goad him into a fight will bear fruit remains to be seen. Right now it seems unlikely.

Terence Crawford Slams Canelo Alvarez Over ‘Arrogant, Disrespectful’ Remark That Left Him Absolutely Fuming

September 13 will mark the biggest moment of Terence Crawford’s glorious career as he challenges Canelo Alvarez for the undisputed super middleweight title.

It’s a fight between two extremely accomplished superstars, four weight world champions and multiple time undisputed title holders.

If Crawford beats Canelo he can become the first fighter in history to become undisputed in three weight classes. Historically, a great fighter moving up has rarely beaten an equally great opponent. And to make matters worse, Crawford is coming up not one, but two weight classes to take Canelo’s throne.

The build-up has been full of hype. While there’s mutual respect between the pair, there has been some heated moments as well. ‘Bud’ Crawford has now revealed a moment where Canelo irritated him.

Despite Crawford’s long list of accomplishments, Canelo questioned the quality of his past opponents. ‘Bud’ told Dan Rafael that it irritated him.

“It definitely irritated me, because, I can say so much about his resume and the guys he has fought, at the time he fought, and so forth. But. I am not gonna do that. I’d rather talk about him as a fighter and forget all the other people he fought before me.”

Gervonta davis

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. Me and him gotta fight. I am not fighting his resume, I am not fighting the guys that he fought. I would rather keep it straight for Canelo.

Crawford has beaten fighters like Errol Spence Jr, Shawn Porter, Amir Khan, Kell Brook, and more in his career. However, one might argue that he never had a generation defining fight except for the Spence clash, who ‘Bud’ dominated bell-to-bell.

Crawford pointed out that fans don’t need to pay a PPV price to watch the NBA or the NFL. “We can get back to that, I think boxing will be back where it used to be back in the day.”

Turki Alalshikh and Dana White (TKO Group / Zuffa Boxing) are co-promoting the fight. The build-up has been full of hype and Crawford sounds determined to deliver on the biggest night of his professional career.

Joshua Could Be on the Verge of a Monumental 2026 With a Thrilling Jake Paul and Tyson Fury Double-Header in the Works.

AJ has been out of the ring since last September when he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois at Wembley.

Elbow surgery in May has delayed his return – allowing for shock talks with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Fury retired in January but announced in July that he will come back to fight next year – with the hopes of a fight with Joshua.

Frank Smith, CEO of Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing, talked up a mega 2026 for AJ with bouts against Paul AND Fury possible.

Smith said on talkSPORT: “2026 is going to be a huge year for Anthony Joshua.

“It is a random fight with Jake Paul, but it is the biggest fight out there at the moment.

“Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul on the global scale is bigger than Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury. That is the world we live in right now.

“The Tyson Fury fight is still a huge fight, and if he decides to come back from retirement, I’m sure that can also get made in 2026.

“AJ has done everything in the sport, he still has a lot more to offer but in this business people get written off.

“I think you will see him in a great year next year in the biggest events possible.

“From a commercial perspective he’s in the driving seat, AJ delivers the biggest numbers.”

Fury, 36, retired after consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, 38, last year but told fans at a BoxPark event in July that he will return in 2026.

Paul is 12-1 in his career with his lone loss coming against Fury’s brother Tommy in 2023.

Paul won on points over eight shorter two-minute rounds and returned to cruiserweight in June to face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

And he beat the former middleweight world champion over ten rounds – placing him 14th in the WBA’s rankings.

Paul, 28, first called out Joshua, 35, on his podcast earlier in the year sparking a behind-the-scenes back and forth between the two.

And Smith added:  “I think you have to respect what Jake Paul has done.

“He’s not at the level of Anthony Joshua, and he keeps calling people and one day these fights will happen.

“This is the reality, and I think this could be the end of Jake Paul’s influencer dreams of becoming a boxer.

Hints: This Could Be the Ultimate Heavyweight Battle Anthony Joshua Hints at Explosive 2025 Showdown with Tyson Fury

ANTHONY Joshua insists that Tyson Fury remains at the top of his hit list, targeting an all-British showdown with the former heavyweight king this year.

The 35-year-old comes off a devastating fifth-round knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois, hitting the canvas four times during their enthralling heavyweight spectacle back in September.

Soon after, Joshua was seemingly in talks to enter an immediate rematch with the formidable puncher, before making the decision to extend his period of recuperation.

Instead, Dubois is now gearing up to defend his IBF world heavyweight title against Joseph Parker on February 22, while the future of Joshua’s career remains uncertain.

But regardless of who he faces next, ‘AJ’ has confirmed his desire to lock horns with domestic rival Fury at some point in 2025.

“My life is up and down, so I’ve got to get used to the turbulent times and keep riding the wave,” Joshua told NTA news. “I can’t stop now; I’ve got to keep going until I reach my destination.

‘The Gypsy King’ comes off his second defeat to bona fide heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk, losing by a margin of 116-112 on all three judges’ scorecards.

Yet still, the 36-year-old maintains his belief that, in both of their compelling encounters last year, he had done more than enough to emerge victorious.

In any case, with both Joshua and Fury evading the win column towards the end of 2024, it would appear that the pair are, once again, firmly on a collision course.

But despite the intrigue that still surrounds their potential clash, it must be said that, while not yet past its sell-by date, the matchup has certainly lost a degree of pizazz.

Eddie Hearn Issues Stark Warning to Jake Paul, “I Hope Joshua Destroys Him With a Vicious Beating”

The British promoter warns of possible “brutal punishment” if the fight between the influencer and the former world heavyweight champion goes ahead

Rumors of a possible showdown between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua have begun to gain momentum in recent days, as the idea of seeing the influencer-turned-boxer take on the former unified heavyweight champion has generated mixed opinions in the boxing world. One of the most critical voices has been that of Eddie Hearn, who is Joshua’s promoter.

Hearn not only questioned the viability of the fight, but was clear in his statements about what he believes would happen if Jake Paul dares to step into the ring with Joshua:

I hope AJ goes in there and destroys him. This would be a brutal beatdown, an easy night at the office

This fight seemed unlikely until a few years ago, however, rumors of a possible clash between the two have increased, to the point that today it seems imminent.

Although the difference in experience and class between the two boxers is noticeable, representatives from both sides have admitted that talks are underway

In fact, Eddie Hearn revealed that he had a recent conversation with Nakisa Bidarian, a close associate of Jake Paul and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, assuring that “this is very real” and that the chances of the fight happening are “50/50”.

Bidarian not only confirmed the interest, but also described the possible fight as an event of “biblical” proportions, even pointing to a possible date in 2026.

Criticism of Jake Paul continues

However, not everyone is convinced that this clash should take place, as journalist Gareth A. Davies described Jake Paul as “a regional level boxer” and was concerned about the physical risk of facing a heavyweight like Joshua:

It doesn’t seem safe. I don’t think it should be sanctioned by any commission

However, the chairman of Riyadh SeasonTurki Alalshikh, also spoke about the possible fight, and although initially sceptical, Alalshikh now sees the duel as a possible solution to the “Jake Paul problem”

If Joshua destroys him, the headache is over. If Jake Paul wins, we will know that he deserves to be in boxing

There are still many things up in the air about this hypothetical fight, but what is a fact is that, if it materializes, it would be a fight with a large audience.

Tyson Fury Shuts Down Critics: “My Physique Doesn’t Define Me as a Fighter”

Fight night is right around the corner for the ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 21 KOs) as he prepares to lock horns with his longtime foe, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). Boxing aficionados have their senses piqued for this highly anticipated showdown, and Fury’s sleek physique has unsurprisingly caught their eye. While they rave about the transformation, the ‘Gypsy King’ believes his physique is not what matters on fight night.

Tyson Fury recently sat down for an exclusive interview with DAZN’s Off the Cuff. In conversation, he opened up about looking noticeably fitter ahead of the fight.“If I’m not ready now, I’m never going to be ready, am I? Been in camp forever. I never stop training, anyway. Whether I’m fat, thin, or whatever, I’m always training. I’m always in the gym, at least once a day, mostly twice a day,” he said.

Fury further mentioned that the major contributor to his updated physique was a change in his diet. However, he added that this neither adds nor takes away from his performance inside the ring. “It makes no difference. You can be skinny or fat, it’s all about how you perform on the night. Having a six-pack don’t mean you can fight,” Fury said. “As long as you’re fit enough to do the rounds, which I always am, then it’s never been a problem.”

“Win No Matter What”

There is no denying that this May 18 showdown will be a treat for fans. As one of the most awaited fights in the heavyweight division, there is certainly a divided room picking its favorite side. This, however, does not bother Fury in any way. He even expressed confidence in his victory in the upcoming showdown.

“Why will I win? Because it’s what I do. I win, win, win no matter what. I’ve always won,” he said in an interview. “What I deliver is victories. Whether it’s by an inch or a mile, I deliver every time. Sixteen years as a pro, I’ve been delivering my whole life. They should call me the midwife because I always deliver.”

Terence Crawford Declares Bold Ambition, “I’m Ready to Become Boxing’s Next Global Superstar”

Undefeated WBO jr welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (28-0, 20 KOs), of Omaha, Nebraska, will have his toughest test when he takes on undefeated WBC champion “The Ice Man” Viktor Postol (28-0, 12 KOs) of Kiev, Ukraine, in a unification bout on July 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas live on HBO Pay-Per-View.

“It’s going to be big. I’m going in there and putting on a spectacular show and showing everybody that I belong here,” Crawford told Fightnews.com®. “I have to make a statement on July 23rd.”

Crawford will be training for the fight in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska under the watchful eye of his longtime trainer Brian “BoMac” McIntyre.

Coming off a devastating knockout over Hank Lundy this past February in New York City, Crawford was impressive in defending his WBO title for the second time. Last year saw Crawford score knockouts against Thomas Dulorme in April, as he won the vacant WBO super lightweight title. and in October when he stopped Dierry Jean in his first title defense.

Since coming to the United States Postol has been 4-0 with 3 KOs. He won the WBC world title with an impressive tenth round knockout over the tough Lucas Matthysse last October. “I feel Matthysse gave up because he was frustrated. It wasn’t because he hurt him with a punch, it was because Matthysse was tired. Postol was holding, elbowing, his jab was irritating him every time Matthysse would get in. There was more frustration than hurt,” Crawford said.Anthony joshua

“Postol’s style is more European,” he continued. “Straight right, jab, clinch, hold, elbows here and there, but there is nothing he’ll be able to do come fight night to keep me from taking that belt. I’ve seen a lot in my time of boxing on this level. I feel I will do real well!”

A win over Postol would open a new chapter in Terance Crawford’s career. “This is just the beginning. It’s my first pay-per-view and I want to put on a great performance. I want to be the next superstar,” Crawford said.

Crawford expects a large number of his hometown fans to make the trek to Vegas for the Postol fight. “They will show up and chill out. A lot of people are coming to show their support,” Crawford said.

“When I look at this fight, I look at it as #1 vs. #2, the best in the division, two undefeated fighters,” Crawford said. “I’m not thinking of who I want to fight next. Who I got in front of me now is Viktor Postol. Come fight night, we’re waiting for the victory!”

Anthony Joshua Finally Breaks Silence, Delivers Explosive Announcement on His Epic Boxing Comeback Date

Anthony Joshua has confirmed that he will return to action at the end of 2025 ending speculation on when his ring comeback may take place.

Last September, Joshua tried to become world champion for a third tome when he collided with Daniel Dubois at a sold-out Wembley Stadium .

Joshua entered the contest a huge favourite, but his dreams were ultimately shattered as he was dropped four times before being counted out in the fifth session.

Despite the loss, Joshua soon turned his attention to the undisputed heavyweight title rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk last December as a showdown between him and Fury appeared to be a real possibility.

This has left Joshua to explore other option with Deontay Wilder and a rematch with Dubois both mentioned for the former champion.

Despite no opponent being announced, Joshua has now confirmed that he will fght before 2025 is over.

“December I will fight again,” said Joshua when speaking to  ESPN Mexico .

“That’s when I want to fight again, I’ll take some time, and I will go in December. I just want to get my body feeling good and then I’ll fight. It’s a simple job.”
