Tiger Woods Discloses He Is Given Retirement Truth After He’s Seen Hitting Balls On The Range

Tiger Woods has been urged not to hang up his clubs just yet despite continuing to battle through health woes, as the golfing icon has been seen practicing his swing on the range.

The 15-time major winner is hailed as perhaps the finest to have ever played the game, having clocked nearly three decades of remarkable achievements in golf. Yet, Woods, 49, has struggled with a series of back and lower leg injuries in recent years, leading to multiple surgeries.

Although he made a miraculous comeback by clinching the Masters in 2019, he hasn’t been able to expand his major collection since then.

His plan for a glorious return at Augusta in April was ruined when he tore his Achilles the month prior to the tournament starting.

Following surgery in March, Woods has since remained out of action, but despite these setbacks, Ryder Cup legend Sam Torrance is convinced Woods’ time in the sport isn’t over.

Tiger woods

In an exclusive chat with Mirror US, courtesy of Lottoland, Torrance dismissed the idea of Woods retiring, stating: “Absolutely not.

“There’s one thing I’ve learned over the years with Tiger Woods, never say never. I believe he is just the most extraordinary golfer we’ve ever had.

“Nicklaus’ record is better, he was my hero, but Tiger Woods brought a different level of golf to the world. He is capable of anything.”

Charlie Woods

Torrance admitted he’s unsure of the star’s current fitness levels but has witnessed him practising on the range before he speculated on Woods’ potential involvement in the upcoming Ryder Cup.

He added: “I don’t know about his fitness or his health, how good it is, but I still see him out on the range hitting balls. And I’d love to see him come back. Who knows, maybe he’ll be captaining the Ryder Cup if Bradley takes it. Who knows, if Bradley plays.”

Although Woods won’t be competing at The Open Championship at Portrush next week, he didn’t hesitate to offer advice to top contenders Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, emphasising the importance of ball control.

Woods advised them: “They have to have the ability to control the ball,” before adding: “It’s just amazing what they call a wee breeze, right?

Tiger woods

“You just have to hit different shots on golf courses… because they are on seaside. Depends on the tide, it changes the wind. And it’s amazing what that little change can do.”

Tiger Woods: With A Bold $10b Will Tom Brady Step Into Jurassic Park with Tiger Woods in a Push to Revive an Extinct Giant?

In one of the most ambitious and surprising moves of their post-sports careers, golf legend Tiger Woods and NFL icon Tom Brady are reportedly joining forces in a bold, futuristic venture that seems ripped straight from a science fiction movie: a $10 billion project aimed at bringing an extinct species back to life.

The two sporting giants are said to be investing in Colossal Biosciences, a biotech startup based in Texas that specializes in the cutting-edge science of de-extinction. The company has already made headlines for its work to revive the woolly mammoth — but now, it has its sights set on something even more exotic: the moa, a 12-foot-tall flightless bird that vanished from New Zealand centuries ago.

While the moa doesn’t have the ferocious reputation of a T. rex, its size and prehistoric origins have drawn comparisons to Jurassic Park — and the idea of Brady and Woods backing such an effort is as bold as it is fascinating.

According to reports, Colossal’s latest initiative uses CRISPR gene-editing technology to recreate extinct DNA by blending it with the genome of a close living relative — in this case, likely the emu or ostrich. If successful, the result would be a living, breathing modern-day moa.

This isn’t just about science fiction. Colossal’s mission is deeply rooted in ecological restoration. The moa’s extinction left a major void in New Zealand’s native ecosystems. Scientists believe reintroducing it could help restore balance and biodiversity in the region.

Woods and Brady: Sports Legends Turned Scientific Backers

Tiger Woods and Tom Brady are no strangers to bold moves, whether it’s sinking a birdie on the 18th or engineering a last-minute touchdown comeback. But this project shows a completely different side of their ambition.

Sources close to the project suggest that both men were drawn to Colossal’s vision of fusing technology, sustainability, and conservation. Their backing could not only help fund the complex scientific process but also bring global awareness to the possibilities — and ethical questions — surrounding de-extinction.

“We’ve always pushed the limits in our sports,” Woods reportedly told a private gathering of investors. “Now, we’re backing a project that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in science.”

Brady echoed similar sentiments, noting that their goal is not just to make history in sport, but to help shape the future.

Not Without Controversy

Despite the excitement surrounding the project, it hasn’t come without criticism. Scientists and conservationists alike have questioned whether de-extinction is the right approach, pointing to possible risks:

Tiger woods

  • What if the revived species struggles to survive in today’s changed ecosystems?

  • Could it compete with or harm existing wildlife?

  • Is it morally right to bring back animals that evolution — or humans — erased?

Supporters argue that if done responsibly, de-extinction could offer a powerful tool for repairing damaged ecosystems and even combatting biodiversity loss in the face of climate change.

Not A Rumour, Tiger Woods Did Not Buy Hype Around the ‘Home of Golf’ Until Wake-Up Call During the Open

There’s one thing to consider when talking about St. Andrews: it is a tough golf course in general, but inclement weather adds a layer of complexity to the game, demanding that golfers adapt their strategy, club choice, and swing technique to navigate wind, rain, and cold. Perhaps that’s why Tiger Woods declared ahead of the 2022 Open Championship at St. Andrews, aka ‘Home of Golf,’ “It’s my favourite course in the world.” But you’d be surprised to know that Woods didn’t always feel that about the iconic course.

Recently, Tiger Woods sat down to promote a new line of his brand’s, Sun Day Red, collection. As per the Instagram update about the same, “The North Collection draws inspiration from golf’s heritage and the links courses that demand creativity in their champions above all else.” And when discussing links courses, how can you not mention St. Andrews, one of the oldest and most iconic courses, with Tiger Woods’ storied history and experiences there?

During the Sun Day Red’s promotion, Tiger Woods shared one “Great story,” about the first time he played at St. Andrews. “I happened to catch the type, just perfectly. So, I played all 18 holes basically into the wind. And from hearing the stories of how players are able to drive into certain holes in there, I can get there. I don’t understand what is the fascination about this golf course. And then the next day, completely different… I’m like Ah, that’s why these bunkers were here. And so you know that’s most links golf courses are like that. And that’s what makes it so challenging. So much fun.”

Woods has a storied history at St. Andrews, making his Open debut there in 1995 (T68). He later claimed victory in 2000, becoming the youngest golfer to complete a career Grand Slam, and won again in 2005. However, his form at the course has been inconsistent, with a T23 finish in 2010 and missed cuts in 2015 and 2022.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Tiger Woods has shared similar thoughts on St. Andrews. In 2015, while talking about the course, he said, “I heard people say you can drive 9 with a certain wind, you can drive 10, you can drive 12. ‘I can’t touch any of these holes, what are they talking about?’ Then the wind switches and it’s a totally different golf course. Then you’d go, “What are these bunkers here for?’ They’re not even close to being in play.’ The wind switches, and oh my God, they are [in play]. That’s the genius of this place.”

So, why is St. Andrews so daunting? The historic St. Andrews, with a rich history of 600 years, presents a distinct challenge for golfers, combining its legendary layout with the demands of links golf. Spanning nearly 6,400 yards from the yellow tees, its relatively flat fairways and greens typically make it seem more forgiving; certain holes, such as the 225-yard par-3 9th, which frequently plays into the wind, pose a great threat.

However, Tiger Woods considers these challenges as “genius of this place,” as stated above. Given that stance and his love for the course, it’s no wonder Woods looked emotional during his (potential) last outing at St. Andrews in 2022.

Lord Of Golf : Tiger Woods’s most overlooked major was his most meaningful, former caddie claims

Tiger Woods’ absence throughout 2025 has left a noticeable void in the world of golf, robbing it of much of its appeal and excitement. His magnetic presence has always elevated the prestige of any tournament he participates in, and without him, the sport feels less complete

Unfortunately, last year, while training at home after recovering from a back surgery, Woods suffered a torn Achilles tendon. That setback ruled him out of competitive play for the foreseeable future, extinguishing hopes of a return to the elite events that once defined his legendary career.

As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured.

A precisely executed surgery

Fortunately for Woods and the millions of fans who long to see him compete at the highest level again, the surgery was successful. Dr. Charlton Stucken performed a minimally invasive procedure at the Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach.

The operation went smoothly, and the expectation is that his recovery will follow a similar path. Though he’s not yet ready to return to competition, Woods has remained active in other ways. In June, he was seen supporting his son, Charlie Woods, at the Florida Amateur Open, taking on his fatherly duties with pride despite his own physical limitations.

Drawing attention even from the sidelines

It’s simply in Tiger’s nature to command attention, even when he’s not swinging a club. His legacy and exceptional talent keep him relevant in every conversation about golf, whether he’s competing or not.

His longtime caddie and close friend, Steve Williams, recently shared reflections on a defining moment in Woods’ career during an appearance on The Yardage Book NZ podcast.

From that pivotal win, Tiger Woods’ ascent into the upper echelon of golf history was set in motion. His legend began to crystallize, placing him firmly among the greatest of all time.

Donald Trump Has Spoken Out About How he found out Tiger Woods was dating Vanessa Trump and what ’caused’ divorce with Donald Trump Jr.

Donald Trump has spoken out about Tiger Woods and his new relationship, and revealed what the golfer told him months before making the news public.

Last week, Tiger Woods revealed that he was in fact in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, finally putting an end to the rumors about the golf legend’s love life.

Vanessa Trump is the former wife of Donald Trump Jr. and by extension the former daughter-in-law to president Donald Trump.

Vanessa was married to Trump Jr. between 2005 and 2018 and the pair have five children together.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump addressed the relationship for the first time.

He explained that Woods had informed him about the budding relationship months ago and Trump noted he gave his blessing.

Speaking to reporters, he said: “He told me about it, and I said, ‘Tiger, that’s good, that’s good. I’m very, happy for both’. But they, just let them both be happy. Let them both be happy. They’re both great.”

On March 24, Woods took to his Instagram page to share a picture of himself with Vanessa with a heartfelt message.

It read: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

The president spoke on what he believed was the reason that his son and Vanessa separated. He suggested that the Russia collusion investigation during his first run as President had a massively negative impact on their marriage.

Trump said: “I happen to think the relationship with my son, I think I happened to think the relationship was hurt very badly by the witch hunt that went on Russia, Russia, Russia and all the crap that they put on through who knew nothing about it.

“But Vanessa and Don had a very good relationship. They have incredible children and five incredible children. All good athletes, all great students alike. Right? And, they broke up, you know, quite a while ago. And, which was to me very sad because I think they’re both right.”

The Robert Mueller led special counsel investigation was looking at possible Russian interference in the 2016 election. No evidence found that Trump or any of his aides coordinated with Russian officials or the government to affect the US election results.

Relationship is Growing Strong

Available reports indicate that Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump began dating around Thanksgiving 2024. Since then, all reports indicate that the relationship has grown stronger, with Vanessa practically living in Tiger’s $40 million Jupiter, Florida home.

Tiger Woods has another daughter, Sam, who also just graduated from Benjamin Academy and is set to start at Stanford University, her father’s alma mater, in the fall.

As for Vanessa, Kai is the eldest of her five children, all from her previous marriage to Donald Trump Jr., son of the current US President, Donald Trump.

Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump hard-launched their relationship back in March, and love appears to truly be in the air.

It was initially reported that the two had been dating since last fall. Other reports said they had been dating for at least a year.

Now, a report says they could be taking a major next step

Page Six, citing a source, reported that the two are “very serious,” and “wedding bells” could be chiming.

“She’s so happy! She’s finally found happiness. She’s found happiness for the first time in her life,” the source told the outlet.

Woods announced his relationship with Trump, Donald Jr.’s ex-wife, on March 23.

“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.,” Woods wrote in his post.

Woods’ son, Charlie, and Vanessa’s daughter, Kai, are both competitive golfers. Kai has committed to play at the University of Miami, while Charlie has played alongside his father at tournaments. Charlie has also played at the U.S. Open qualifiers, and both Charlie and Kai played at the same tournament last month.

Woods was photographed with Kai at the Genesis Invitational. Vanessa and Kai also took in a TGL match last month, which was created by Woods and Rory McIlroy.

After his highly publicized divorce from Elin Nordegren, Woods was linked to Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn in the 2010s. He was dating Erica Herman at the time he won the Masters in 2019, but they, too, had a very public breakup that included sexual harassment allegations and an NDA lawsuit filed by Herman.

Woods and Nordegren have appeared to be amicable in recent years as they co-parent Charlie and Sam Woods.

Woods is currently rehabbing from a ruptured Achilles he suffered just before the Masters.

He has played in just 18 events since the start of the new decade, and his best finish in a major during that span is a tie for 38th at the 2020 Masters.

Sam Alexis Woods: Just as Tiger Woods in 2001, winning in Northeast Florida at The Players Championship, Just as Tiger did again in 2013, earning his second Players title at the same location.

So now that it’s 2025, and the dozen-year pattern has come around again, it’s the turn of a different Woods to lift a championship trophy in Jacksonville.

Sam Woods, daughter of the golfing legend, completed her high school athletic career by helping The Benjamin School of Palm Beach Gardens to the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A girls track and field team championship on May 10.

Competing at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium, some 9 miles from The Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass where her father captured two titles in the PGA Tour’s flagship event, Sam Woods helped Benjamin to a second place and a fourth place in relays, worth 13 points.

That was enough for Benjamin (61 points) to outdistance Tallahassee Maclay (45 points) for the overall championship in Class 1A — and she did it 12 years to the day after the second round of Tiger Woods’ 2013 Players victory.

Inside Sam Woods’ state track meet

Woods, a senior, participated in four events for Benjamin.

While her two individual events didn’t score points — she came in 18th in the 100-meter hurdles and 17th in the 400 hurdles — she provided bigger contributions in the relays.

In the opening 4×800 relay, she ran the third leg and helped Benjamin finish in 9:32.40, behind only Providence (9:28.01) from Jacksonville.

And in the closing 4×400 relay, Woods handled the third leg again as Benjamin took fourth place in 4:01.83, behind Pahokee, Maclay and Lakeland Victory Christian.

The state championship is the second of 2025 for Sam Woods, who also started in central defense for Benjamin’s Class 2A girls soccer triumph over Episcopal School of Jacksonville. She scored the winning goal in the team’s district soccer tournament.
