Tiger Woods is reportedly is “happy” to be back home with girlfriend Vanessa Trump after taking pain-killer treatment “seriously” in Switzerland, sources told People.

Woods, 50, returned to Florida on May 14 after residing at a rehab facility in Zurich for six weeks following his car crash and DUI arrest on March 27.

“Tiger took his trip seriously and is all about continuing his recovery and putting this chapter behind him,” a source in Jupiter told the outlet.

“He is in good spirits and also can’t wait to put the legal issues to rest,” the source added.

The source noted to People that nothing has changed between Woods and 48-year-old Trump since his absence, reporting they’re “still serious” and “in love.”

“Vanessa and Tiger are in love, still serious, and happy to see each other,” the source said.

The insider added Trump “is eager to help him continue with his progress and move beyond any more public scandals — which they both dislike intensely.”

She also leads an eventful life outside of her relationship with Woods.

“Vanessa is a busy mom, which for the most part does not get in the way of the overall vibe of her relationship with Tiger, [who is] also busy with his life, golf, charity, video game work projects and kids,” the source said.

“Each was glad to see the other, although they kept in touch while he was away,” a second source told People. “Both of them have responsibilities outside of their personal lives and that factors [into] how much time they can spend together. But each has an ex to share the kids with, so they have had enough time to keep the romance going.”

Trump’s five children have also become “like family” to Woods, the initial source added.

Trump shares five children with ex-husband Donald Trump Jr. — 19-year-old Kai, 17-year-old Donald, 14-year-old Tristan, 13-year-old Spencer and Chloe, 11.

Woods has a daughter, Sam Alexis, 18, and son Charlie, 17, with ex-wife Elin Nordegren.

Woods has become especially close with Kai, who is “a dedicated golfer” around similar age to the professional golfer’s kids, People reported.

Due to his arrest — during which he was found with two hydrocodone pills in his left pocket — Woods missed the Masters, though he stated he was “hoping to” play in the major tournament in Augusta. An additional source in the golf community told the publication Woods is excited to get back into the game and is putting a great deal of focus into his fitness routine.

“Golf is very much on Tiger’s mind and will be in [the] coming months as he gets back to it here in whatever ways he can,” the source said. “Golf is who he is, and those in the sport respect and like him. He will do whatever he has to to get back in whatever way he can in light of his injuries and age.

While Woods has been encouraged to hire a driver, a source told People that they “doubt” he will do so.

Woods previously broke his silence in a post on social media four days following the crash.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he wrote in the statement. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.

“I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

Judge Gives Prosecutors Access to Tiger Woods’ Prescription Medication Records

Tiger Woods — A Martin County, Florida, judge ruled Tuesday that state prosecutors can access Tiger Woods’ prescription medication records as part of the ongoing DUI case involving the 15-time major champion.

County Judge Darren Steele approved a subpoena requesting “all prescription medication on file,” including the date and time prescriptions were filled, the type of medication, number of pills prescribed, dosage amounts, instructions for use, refill dates, and all warnings — including those related to operating a motor vehicle while taking the medication. The subpoena covers prescriptions filled between Jan. 1, 2026, and March 27, 2026.

On April 14, Woods’ attorney, Douglas Duncan, challenged the request, arguing that “Mr. Woods has a Constitutional right to privacy,” while acknowledging that the right is “not absolute” if prosecutors can prove the records are relevant to the criminal investigation.

Duncan also requested a protective order if the court ruled in favor of the state, asking that the prescription records be reviewed confidentially only by prosecutors, law enforcement officials, expert witnesses, and the defense team.

Woods, 50, was arrested on suspicion of DUI on March 27 by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office after a crash involving his SUV and a truck on South Beach Road in Jupiter Island, Florida. Authorities also cited Woods for refusing to submit to a DUI test.

According to deputies, Woods admitted at the scene that he had taken “a few” prescription medications. Officers reportedly discovered two hydrocodone pills — a prescription painkiller — in his pants pocket during the arrest.

Woods again painted an uncertain future about when or where he plays next because of a seventh back surgery to replace a disk. He said Tuesday at the Genesis Invitational that he remains plenty occupied, mostly with trying to reshape the PGA Tour schedule.

“I thought I spent a lot of hours practicing in my prime,” Woods said. “It doesn’t compare to what we’ve done in the boardroom.”

Those hours also are an obstacle in his decision whether to be the U.S. captain for the Ryder Cup for the 2027 matches in Ireland. Woods turned down the job two years ago because he didn’t think he had the time to do the job justice.

Foremost this time of the year is the Masters, which Woods last played in 2024 when he made the cut for a record 24th time in a row. Woods is a five-time Masters champion.

Asked if playing the Masters, which starts April 9, was off the table, Woods replied without elaboration, “No.”

As for his golf anywhere — he turned 50 at the end of last year and is eligible for the PGA Tour Champions — Woods said he is still working his way back from the disk replacement surgery in October and has no timetable for a return. He has yet to play in the indoor TGL matches, either.

“Well, I’m trying — put it that way,” he said, adding that he can hit full shots but not every day “and not very well.”

Last year was the first time in his career he did not compete in a single tournament. He had surgery in March 2025 for a ruptured Achilles tendon, which is no longer holding him back. He said his lower back was sore, and at his age, “It’s probably going to take me a little bit longer.”

“My body has been through a lot,” Woods said. “Each and every day, I keep trying, I keep progressing, I keep working on it, trying to get stronger, trying to get more endurance in this body and trying to get it at a level at which I can play at the highest level again.”

His chief interest is indoors. He is on the board of the PGA Tour and the commercial PGA Tour Enterprises, heading the “Future Competition Committee” that is trying to create a model to meet CEO Brian Rolapp’s goal of fewer tournaments that are more meaningful for the best players.

The only thing clear is that a new model most likely won’t be ready by 2027. The committee has reached agreement on a big start to the season — that could be the week after or before the Super Bowl — taking the big events to bigger markets and becoming the must-see sport of the summer.

Another players-only meeting was scheduled Tuesday at Riviera. Rolapp is expected to pull back the curtain on some aspects at The Players Championship in March, with a little more clarity expected in the summer.

Among items under consideration is moving some prime California stops — Riviera and Torrey Pines get most of the attention — to August as part of the PGA Tour’s postseason.

“We’re looking at things like that, looking to go to bigger markets later in the year for the playoffs. Just trying to make our competitive model better, and how do we do that?” Woods said, adding that moving the Genesis Invitational to August “certainly is on the table.”

It can’t be fond memories of the place, because they are few. Tiger Woods will play the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club this week, injecting an already star-stacked field with that incomparable Tiger factor.

But his name will always be linked to the tournament for another reason — his harrowing, horrific car crash in the early morning of Feb. 23, 2021, on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The accident occurred two days after the tournament, which Woods attended as host but did not play.

Woods’ rehabilitation was lengthy and arduous. He nearly lost his right leg, and problems lingered into last fall when plantar fasciitis in his right heel forced him to pull out of the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas before it began.

“As far as the recovery, it’s more of my ankle, whether I can recover day to day,” he said. “My leg is better. … It’s been an interesting balance, a little dance. It’s gotten so much better the last couple months. I wouldn’t put myself out here if I didn’t think I could beat these guys.”

Once they got over the shock of Woods tweeting that he would play this week, his fellow golfers expressed delight at the prospect of seeing him with a club in his hands.

“Not well every day, but I can hit them,” he said. “As far as the disc replacement, it’s just sore. It takes time. My body has been through a lot.”

Woods claimed his fifth Masters title in 2019, ending an 11-year major championship drought, and added that he had not ruled out competing at Augusta from 9-12 April.

He sustained severe leg injuries in a 2021 car crash before having a back operation in September 2024 and suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon last March.

“I’ve had a fused back and now a disc replacement, so it’s challenging,” said Woods.

“Now I’ve entered a new decade so that number [being 50] is starting to sink in and has us thinking about the opportunity to be able to play in a cart [on the Champions Tour].”
