Fury May Be Sidelined for the Rest of the Year, But a Shocking Usyk Rematch Could Be Lurking in the Shadows, Hints Frank Warren

Fury, 36, announced his retirement from boxing in January after losing twice against the WBA, WBC and WBO champion Usyk – who fights Daniel Dubois in an undisputed heavyweight bout at Wembley on Saturday.

But two-time heavyweight champion Fury – who retired in 2022 before returning six months later – has hinted at a return.

“I spoke to him [Fury] over the weekend about boxing. He won’t fight this year,” Warren told the 5 Live Boxing podcast.

“He’s got this Netflix second series coming but he’s in the gym. He’s in it for his wellbeing, physically and mentally. It keeps him in a good place.”

Earlier this month, Fury took to social media to announce plans for a trilogy bout with Ukranian Usyk at Wembley Stadium in April.

“He’s got that mentality that he’s in the gym and he needs to do something,” Queensberry boss Warren, who also promotes Dubois, added.

“He’s made it clear he wants to fight Usyk.”

Warren, who has promoted Fury since his comeback to boxing in 2018 after a two-year hiatus from the sport, dismissed suggestions the Morecambe fighter will take a tune-up fight.

If Fury – who has a record of 34-2-1 – does return, the long-mooted fight with Anthony Joshua or a match-up against Dubois could also be possible.

“He had some tough fights against [Deontay] Wilder. A fight I don’t think he was right for against [Francis] Ngannou and then the two tough fights against Usyk,” Warren said.

“He’s controlled most of the fights he’s been in but he’s not getting any younger. Knowing him, he’ll want to go straight in.”

“Carl Froch Shares Where Daniel Dubois Would Stand Among British Heavyweight Greats If He Defeats Oleksandr Usyk”

Former super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch has revealed where he’ll rank Daniel Dubois compared to other British heavyweights, including Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, if he beats Oleksandr Usyk at Wembley on Saturday.

Dubois, 27, comes into the contest holding the IBF heavyweight title while the current unified heavyweight titleholder Usyk, 38, boasts the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO and Ring Magazine belts.

Wembley Stadium will be packed to the rafters by fans eagerly anticipating the intriguing bout this weekend. Of course, the pair previously went toe-to-toe in Wroclaw, Poland, in August 2023, with Usyk winning via knockout in round nine.

Almost two years on from the pair’s first clash, Dubois is a different beast. Since his defeat in Poland, the 27-year-old Londoner has defeated Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and most impressively stopped Joshua, 35, in round five of the all-British clash at Wembley last summer.

As for Usyk, he has beaten Fury twice since his last fight with Dubois and was his usual slick self in the ring during those bouts. But at 38, is he slowing down? We will find out on Saturday night.

Dubois will have to do something that no other man has done in Usyk’s 23 professional bouts and finish the contest as the victor.

And if he does win, in turn, he will have achieved something Fury and Joshua couldn’t despite sharing a ring with the 38-year-old on four combined occasions.

Ahead of the fight, Froch spoke to SPORTbible on behalf of casino.co.uk and explained where Dubois will rank on the list of all-time British heavyweight champions if he beats Usyk.

Froch said: “You’d have to put him right up there.

“You’ve got Lennox Lewis at number 1, then the likes of Tyson Fury, maybe AJ in there. Frank Bruno, Joe Bugner, Herbie Hide, Henry Cooper.

“You’ve got to go back years, so if you’re looking at what you consider to be the top British heavyweights in the last couple of generations, you’d put Lewis at 1, Fury at 2, and then you’d have AJ around the number 3 mark.

“If Dubois beats Usyk, after what Usyk did to both Fury and AJ, unless Usyk looked terrible and past his prime, if he gets beaten, he gets beaten. He’s still in form, lives the life and is looking good.

Daniel dubois

“With that in mind, you can make an argument for Dubois going in at number 2 ahead of Fury. On paper, you can make the case because Fury lost to Usyk twice.

“In reality, Fury has that trilogy with a prime Deontay Wilder in the book, plus the win over Klitschko in Germany.

“It’s a close second, but he definitely takes the number 3 spot from Anthony Joshua. Dubois is only 27, too, so he’s got plenty of time on his side.”

“Tiger Woods’ Daughter Opened Up with a Heartfelt Reason for Turning Away from Golf”

Tiger Woods, widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers ever, has a daughter, Sam, who shows no interest in following in her father’s golfing footsteps.

The 49-year-old golf icon’s son, Charlie, hasn’t yet demonstrated the same level of consistency that catapulted his father to legendary status. However, after a long hiatus, Charlie clinched a decisive victory at the Team TaylorMade Invitational, hinting that he might be on track to uphold the family legacy. However, he missed out on the U.S. Open.

While Charlie is making strides on the golf course, Sam has chosen to pursue soccer. According to Woods himself, Sam isn’t keen on taking up golf like her father and brother due to the sport’s “negative connotation.”

Woods offered a frank explanation for why Sam doesn’t share his and Charlie’s passion for golf. “She has, I think, a negative connotation to the game because at that time… when she was growing up, golf took daddy away from her,” the 49-year-old revealed last year.

“I had to pack, and I had to leave and I was gone for weeks and there was a negative connotation to it. So we developed our own relationship, our own rapport that’s outside of golf, that we do things that don’t involve golf. Meanwhile, my son and I, we do everything golf-related. It’s very different.”

Woods confessed back in 2018 that he’s perfectly fine with his kids not pursuing golf, as long as they stay active. He revealed that his two children were into soccer at the time, a sport that Sam continues to play.

“They’re keen into soccer,” he stated. “If they want to play golf, that’s great. If they don’t, that’s fine, too. As long as they have a good time playing sports.

“I find that a lot of fun now, to be able to physically get out and pass the ball around with them. I get such a big kick out of watching them compete and play. It’s so much fun to see how happy and passionate they are about soccer.”

Charlie later decided to quit soccer and concentrate solely on golf with his father’s guidance, a decision that has proven fruitful recently.

Despite failing to qualify for the U.S. Open for the second consecutive year, Charlie clinched his first Amateur Junior Golf Association title by topping the leaderboard at the Team TaylorMade Invitational.

During his victory, Charlie confessed that he was solely focused on the game and didn’t pay attention to anything else. “I didn’t look at the leaderboard once today,” he shared.

“On the fairway after hitting the green on 18, he’s [Woods’ caddie] like, ‘You make par here, you’re going to be fine.’He added: “Being able to say to myself that I won an absolutely amazing event and to say I performed under some high-pressure situations is just huge going forward.

‘You’re Just a Mere Golfer’ – Tiger Woods Infuriated His Friend Charles Barkley by Coldly Cutting Him Off”

If you’re going to end your friendship with Charles Barkley, you’d better not do it by ghosting him.

Unfortunately, that’s how golf icon Tiger Woods went about defriending the basketball great and it left Barkley irate.

Once upon a time, Barkley and Woods shared a remarkably close bond.

Speaking to ESPN in 2011, Barkley revealed he and Woods would speak ‘once a week for 15 years’, such was their friendship.

But everything changed in 2009 when Woods’ life turned upside down.

Woods crashed his Cadillac in November just days after the first report of his infidelity emerged.

In the days after the crash, over a dozen women had come forward with claims they had an affair with Woods in various media outlets.

From that moment on, Woods no longer spoke to Barkley.

A perception soon emerged Barkley had become a bad influence on Woods, along with fellow basketball legend Michael Jordan.

Yet it all caught Barkley, an 11-time NBA All-Star, by surprise.

“It was interesting sitting back and listening and hearing me and Michael corrupted him, we knew none of this stuff was going in,” Barkley said.

However, Barkley’s tune changed in the passing years as Woods’ end of the phone remained cold.

And not in a positive way.

“I could understand if he was trying to get back with his wife at the time and she said, ‘Hey, get rid of all your old friends,’ and he called and said, ‘This is the situation,'” Barkley told Andscape in 2017.

“I would’ve understood that.

“But I just wish he would have been man enough to call and say that. To just disappear totally was disappointing.”

A year later, Barkley and Woods were back talking, even if it was in an enforced setting as the 15-time major winner made a guest appearance on Inside the NBA in November 2018.

Barkley poked fun at Woods’ receding hairline and asked if he’d decided or was thinking about cutting his losses and shaving his head.

“No, I’m still combing forward,” Woods replied, sparking plenty of laughter from the entire panel.

“I’m holding on for dear life as long as I possibly can.”

Woods and Barkley had another public interaction during the May 2020 edition of The Match.

Barkley served as a commentator for the event while Woods teamed up with legendary NFL quarterback Peyton Manning to take on Phil Mickelson and six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.

But Woods wasn’t afraid to clap back.

“I can beat Tom Brady after what I’m seeing now,” Barkley said.

“I want him.”

Woods responded: “Chuck, I think the whole world wants a piece of you.”

Despite their jovial interactions over the years, Barkley appeared to take a swipe at Woods once again in a Phil Mickelson biography, written by respected golf journalist Alan Shipnuck.

“One of the reasons Phil has lasted so long is because he’s had a joyful life,” Barkley said.

“Tiger won a bunch of tournaments, but there wasn’t much joy in it.”

Barkley added: “Sure, Tiger is a better golfer. You’re just in awe of his talent. But it’s not fun to be around him. Everyone in his world is uptight and s***, afraid to say or do the wrong thing.

“When you’re with Phil, you’re guaranteed to have fun. He makes people feel good. Everyone around him is always smiling. That’s a huge difference, man.”

It is unknown, at least publicly, whether Barkley has changed his tune on Woods.

But given the silence between the two outside of TV appearances they are both involved in, it seems the direct lines of communication remain down between Barkley and Woods.

Team Gervonta Davis Claims Shakur Stevenson Is Using a Classic Mayweather Tactic to Gain the Upper Hand in Potential Showdown

In 2023, when Shakur Stevenson moved up to the lightweight division, he had only one goal in mind: Gervonta Davis. Four fights, one title, and two years later, he is still chasing that dream, practically pleading for the fight. However, a week ago, the Matchroom head honcho gave a hopeful update to all Sugar fans, suggesting September could finally bring the long-awaited showdown.

Meanwhile, Davis, fresh off his controversial clash against Lamont Roach, is locked in for a June rematch. Should he conquer that lingering ghost, he’d have five months to map out his ambitious plan for 2025—a gamble that Shakur Stevenson and Matchroom were ready to bet on. However, it looks like another losing battle for Newark native, as Tank’s co-trainer Kenny Ellis flipped the script, slyly suggesting he’s borrowing a page from Floyd Mayweather’s playbook.

Shakur Stevenson missed the golden opportunity with Gervonta Davis

In a recent interview with MillCity Boxing, Ellis was asked about Hearn’s and Stevenson’s claims of waiting for Gervonta Davis till September. “I see that coming from Shakur, waiting as long as you can,” the coach remarked, hinting he wasn’t surprised by the tactic. He claimed, “Shakur is trying to age him out.” Ellis believes that defensive brilliance is not the only thing connecting Stevenson and Mayweather.

He’s convinced Stevenson’s mimicking The Pretty Boy’s tactic of picking fights with opponents who’ve just slipped past their prime strategy, a long debated in boxing circles, with matchups like Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez and Shane Mosley often cited as examples.

However, the real blow came when Ellis shut the door, declaring, “But he ain’t aging anytime soon. I don’t care for it because it could have been happen. I don’t really care for it,” practically putting an end to the prospect of this unification bout between them. When asked to elaborate, Kenny Ellis added, “Fighters, period, do that. They try to wait until they think a fighter is over. But Tank ain’t old. He ain’t nowhere near old.”

The declaration has left the WBC lightweight champion at a crossroads. His entire move to 135 was built around landing Davis, and now that dream is teetering on edge. And even though the division is filled with exciting talents, none of those names carry a payday as big as Tank. At this point, the best move for him seems like moving up to 140—a move far more sensible now that he has opted out of his clash against William Zepeda.

Stevenson-Zepeda is a prospect fight that almost every boxing fan wanted to see—a showdown between the WBC lightweight champion and the interim titleholder. This was a fight that even Shakur had been targeting for a long time. And for a while, it seemed like both camps were zeroing in on a June date. However, it looks like the move has fallen apart as on the weekend, Oscar De La Hoya took to his ‘X’ and wrote, “After all the s**t talking, @ShakurStevenson pulls out of Zepeda

Shakur Stevenson instantly fired back. He owned up to walking away but pinned the blame on His Excellency Turki Alalshikh. “😂😂😂😂 is that what they told you?? Turki promised me a number and now he going way back on that number that he promised me and sending his Towel boys to run me the info instead telling me straight up what he tryna do.. Ion bow down to nobody Mr De la Hoya now let’s negotiate!” he stated.

Just a month ago, Stevenson made a splash in his Riyadh Season debut, positioning himself as a marquee name for Alalshikh’s operation. However, as the reports suggest that “@Turki_alalshikh was only willing to pay less than $500,000 (before taxes) for @ShakurStevenson to face his WBC mandatory William Zepeda,” the power dynamics have already shifted and not in favor of Stevenson.

With his both fights on the verge of collapse, the Newark native has a big decision to make—clinging to a fading chance of glory at 135 lbs might be tempting, but it’s starting to look like a shaky bet.

Mayweather Breaks Silence on Gervonta vs Stevenson And His Verdict Might Shock You

In the world of boxing, few names command as much respect as Floyd Mayweather Jr., and when the undefeated champion speaks, everyone listens.

Boxing has seen the emergence of new figures who promise to dominate the ring for a long time. This time, the former world champion has given his verdict between two of the most talented fighters today: Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Shakur Stevenson.

Gervonta Davis vs Shakur Stevenson?

Both fighters have been world champions in multiple divisions, both are undefeated and both have very different styles. While Gervonta Davis is a brutal puncher who has finished many fights by knockout, Shakur Stevenson shines for his impeccable defense, his reading of the fight and his strategic patience that he has been perfecting over the years

During a recent public appearance, Mayweather was asked by a reporter which of these two boxers he considers more complete and who would win in a hypothetical matchup. His answer was clear and blunt:

I have no doubt: Shakur Stevenson is the most talented fighter at the moment. He is technically superior and knows how to dominate a fight without taking unnecessary punishment.

With these words, Floyd Mayweather Jr. made it clear that although he has worked closely with Davis, his admiration for Stevenson’s intelligence and accuracy is above Tank’s explosive power.

Why does Floyd Mayweather Jr. prefer Shakur Stevenson?

  • It’s not that Mayweather doesn’t value Gervonta Davis‘ skills – in fact, he has been one of his main promoters and mentors throughout his professional career – but Shakur Stevenson’s style seems to fit more with his own boxing philosophy: hit without being hit, control the pace of the fight and wear down the opponent with precision in the ring.
  • Floyd sees in Shakur a fighter with a chess player’s mentality, something he himself cultivated during his career. For Mayweather, boxing is not only won with strength, but with intelligence.

What does Gervonta Davis think?

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s opinion did not go unnoticed by Gervonta Davis, who responded through social media with a defiant message:

People talk a lot… but nobody wants to get in the ring with me. You decide who is the best when the fight happens.

Gervonta Davis’ statement left the door open for a possible showdown with Shakur Stevenson in the future, something that millions of fans would be eager to see a great clash of the new generations of boxing.

Few Days To Go Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2: John Fury Drops Ruthless Prediction That Will Leave Everyone Stunned

Daniel Dubois is preparing for the biggest night of his boxing career. On July 19, under the bright lights of Wembley Stadium and in front of a crowd of 70,000, he’ll get a second shot at Oleksandr Usyk in a highly anticipated heavyweight title rematch

It’s more than just a fight – it’s an opportunity to avenge a controversial defeat, claim the IBF belt, and cement his place in British boxing history. While Usyk enters as the defending champion and technical master, the narrative around this clash is shifting.

With nearly 11 years separating the two men in age, and after physically demanding bouts – especially his grueling contest with Tyson Fury – questions are emerging about how much Usyk has left in the tank.

And one voice adding fuel to that fire is John Fury, the father of heavyweight champ Tyson Fury and a figure not known for holding back his opinions.

Dubois told it’s now or never

Speaking in a recent video shared by Seconds Out Live, John Fury offered a bold prediction: “He [Daniel Dubois] has every chance of it. You know, the man’s 38, 39 years old. He’s a big banger and he’s on a roll himself, isn’t he, Dubois?”

Fury went on to dissect Dubois’ last big performance, the knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. Rather than see it as a setback, Fury highlighted it as a sign of Dubois’ progress.

AJ ate him because it was touch and go in that fight, you know, until he landed that shot. I actually thought when AJ rushed in to get him, he’d get caught – he came in square on, his defenses weren’t tight, and he got careless. But up until then, it was anybody’s fight.”

For Fury, this rematch may come down to one simple factor-power: “Dubois has that knockout power. If he lands clean on a 38, 39-year-old Usyk – who’s had his tank emptied twice now by the Gypsy King – how much does he really have left? Is it the right time for Dubois? I think it is.”

oleksandr usyk

Barry McGuigan, former world champion and respected analyst, echoed similar sentiments. Though he believes Usyk’s superior footwork and ring IQ give him the edge over 12 rounds, McGuigan admitted that if Dubois connects, it could rewrite the story of modern heavyweight boxing.

“If Usyk gets hit clean by Dubois, the fight is over,” he said. He called the possibility of a Dubois knockout “the greatest victory in boxing.”

Legacy on the line

Dubois isn’t just fighting for redemption – he’s chasing greatness. If he defeats Usyk, he won’t just take the IBF belt. He will become the first British fighter in history to unify all four major heavyweight titles.

For a man who has endured public scrutiny and bounced back from adversity – including the disputed low-blow ruling that marred their first meeting – this is more than just personal revenge.

oleksandr usyk

His renewed energy is visible in his training, attitude, and the company he keeps. With John Fury lending his outspoken support and veterans like McGuigan giving him a shot, Dubois enters this bout with more than just momentum-he has belief.

Whether or not he can topple the technician in Usyk, one thing is certain: Daniel Dubois is not the same fighter who walked into their first meeting. And with the stakes this high, the world will be watching to see if youth, power, and hunger can finally overcome experience and finesse.

July 19 may not just crown a new champion – it could mark the beginning of a new heavyweight era.

Daniel Dubois: “People Still Doubt I’m the Real Deal, But They Won’t for Long”

Just hours before Daniel Dubois stunned the boxing world by knocking out Anthony Joshua in front of a roaring crowd of 96,000 at Wembley Stadium last September, he and his father, Stan, were quietly throwing a party at their Essex home.

Unbeknownst to them, the gathering wasn’t just a pre-fight ritual—it was a prophetic celebration of the seismic shift that was about to shake the heavyweight division. That night, Joshua was flattened, his legacy rattled, and months later, Tyson Fury would fail to reclaim his world titles from Oleksandr Usyk—cementing a new chapter in heavyweight history.

Now, the party plans are back in motion. This weekend, Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) prepares to run it back against Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) in a high-stakes rematch for the undisputed heavyweight crown—this time on home soil.

“We had a little celebration before the AJ fight,” Dubois told The Ring. “Music, food, good vibes. My dad brought some people around. We’re doing it again. Same energy. Just… less eating for me. Can’t go in the ring full,” he added with a smile.

Anthony joshua

But this time, there’s far more at stake than personal glory.

“Dubois becomes the first fighter to headline Wembley twice in succession”

With this bout, Dubois becomes the first fighter to headline Wembley twice in succession—a feat no one before him has achieved. If he wins, he doesn’t just reclaim respect—he takes the throne.

“This will be historic,” Dubois declares. “When I win at Wembley, it becomes mine. It used to be Joshua’s fortress—now it’s my kingdom. A lot of people still don’t see me as ‘The Man.’ But I will leave no doubt. This is my moment to stamp it. I am that guy.”

Their first meeting in Poland saw Dubois crumble under Usyk’s precision, a ninth-round TKO loss after a controversial low blow and mounting pressure. Questions swirled about Dubois’ heart and durability.

But with trainer Don Charles now fully in sync, that narrative has shifted. Some believe Usyk exaggerated the effects of Dubois’ fifth-round body shot—a moment Charles insists was legitimate.

RELATED : Report: Jake Paul Says Anthony Joshua Made a Serious

Since that night, Dubois has gone on a ferocious tear—stopping Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and then Anthony Joshua, collecting the IBF belt vacated by Usyk along the way. Each battle hardened him for this night—the rematch of all rematches.

“The road led us right back here,” Dubois says. “To Usyk. To Wembley. To everything. It’s a full-circle moment. I’m ready to close the chapter and write a new one—with me at the top.”

Anthony joshua

“This fight is massive. It’s personal. It’s history. And this time… I’m not leaving it to chance. I’m going in to knock him out. No more talking. No more questions. It all ends here.”

Dubois has the tools. The power. The frame. And now, the experience. Whether that’s enough to dethrone the undefeated Usyk remains the question—but if Daniel Dubois has his way, there will be no denying who the new King of Wembley truly is.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has ignited speculation by revealing that intense behind-the-scenes talks are underway for a potential blockbuster showdown between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul.

Alalshikh, the influential chairman behind many of Saudi Arabia’s major boxing events, recently met with Jake Paul in Riyadh, sparking speculation about an unlikely but lucrative showdown between the YouTuber-turned-boxer and the former unified heavyweight champion.

Speaking to Boxing News during the Ring III weigh-in, Hearn admitted the idea is gaining traction:
“After speaking to His Excellency last night… in this mad world that we live in, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

While Joshua still has his sights set on an all-British heavyweight clash with Tyson Fury, Hearn says the door is open for a crossover fight with Paul, especially with Alalshikh expressing interest.

“Yeah, there have been discussions,” Hearn told Pro Boxing Fans. “I think he [Alalshikh] would like to do it. It’s mad enough to happen. It’s not something we were targeting, but if it’s offered, I’d be shocked if AJ didn’t accept it. Why wouldn’t you?”

Anthony joshua

Hearn clarified that the focus remains on securing a Tyson Fury bout in 2025, but hinted that squeezing in a Paul fight wouldn’t be out of the question: “If you guys want AJ to end this whole process, he’ll gladly do it.”

While still in early talks, the potential Joshua vs Paul matchup has now moved from fantasy to a real possibility, with the financial and promotional power of Saudi Arabia making even the most unlikely bouts a reality.

‘Let’s Take Care of Barrios First’ Manny Pacquiao Open to Potential Clash with Gervonta Davis

LAS VEGAS — If Manny Pacquiao beats WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios on July 19, competition will line up for the chance to face the newly crowned 46-year-old titleholder.
Pacquiao has worked with PBC in his last four fights dating to 2019, and if business is going to continue to boom under Al Haymon’s umbrella, one of the most lucrative fights that can be made in house is between Pacquiao and Gervonta Davis.
Gervonta Davis is next supposed to face Lamont Roach Jr. following their hotly contested and controversial majority draw in March, but the former was arrested Friday for domestic violence charges that could throw the timing of their Aug. 16 sequel in doubt.

“I like the Davis fight, but let’s finish Barrios first,” Pacquiao told The Ring before the arrest. “It’s nothing personal. I am just doing my job. One at a time. We’ll talk about it after the fight.”
A tilt with Tank has been floated ever since Pacquiao started teasing his comeback in 2023 after retiring two years earlier following a unanimous decision defeat to Yordenis Ugas. At the time, Pacquiao even suggested a 145-pound catchweight to lure in the WBA lightweight champion Davis.
Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs) and Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) are both 5 foot 5 ½ speedy southpaws with identical reach at 67 inches. Pacquiao, an eight-division champion, has fought exclusively as a welterweight since 2009, while Davis has fought only once above the lightweight limit in recent years, a June 2021 stoppage win against Barrios.
Sean Gibbons, the chief operating officer of Manny Pacquiao Promotions and his right hand man since 2018, told The Ring before Davis’ arrest that matchup was the move to make.
“As for what’s next if Pacquiao beats Barrios, if you look at who’s the biggest draw in American boxing, and who puts the most butts in the most seats, it’s Gervonta Davis,” said Gibbons.

“Gervonta pushes the buttons and is a household name in many ways. Pacquiao and Davis match up very well. For the first time in a long time, Manny would actually be a taller and bigger fighter than his opponent. That’s the dream. We were close at one time to fighting Davis. We were talking but we couldn’t come to an agreement on a couple things and the timing didn’t work out.
“If Pacquiao beats Barrios and Davis beats Roach, I think that’s the fight. The people would be really intrigued. You couldn’t sell it as much before Pacquiao fought Barrios because everyone was saying Gervonta is a beast, but Gervonta got exposed a little bit and had a bad night against Roach, and the shine is off a little bit. If Manny shows brilliance against Barrios, they are going to buy into a Tank fight in a heartbeat.

“It’s hard to be judged before the fight, so we will see in the fight,” he said. “You know me, and how I train — I always punish myself to the limit. I always bring surprises to my opponents.”
