After 72 Shots: What Cause Charlie Woods fare at Pinehurst in the 47th North & South Junior Amateur?
Charlie Woods was back on the junior circuit this week at the famed Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in North Carolina.
Woods, a rising junior at Benjamin School and son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, shot 71 (1-under) in the final round on July 2 at Pinehurst No. 8 to finish 1-over and enter the clubhouse tied for 12th place at the 47th North & South Junior Amateur Championship.

He bogeyed his first three holes in Wednesday’s final round to slip off the lead pace and outside the Top 30. A multi-hour weather delay paused play midway through the third round.
Woods returned from the delay with a bogey but gathered momentum with birdies on three straight holes and five of the last eight overall to rise into the Top 12.
Pinehurst’s No. 2 has hosted five major championships, including four U.S. Open championships, most recently in 2024.
It is considered an “anchor site” for the United States Golf Association and will host four more U.S. Open tournaments through 2050.
