Roger Federer’s bold call Why he’s backing Djokovic to reach another Wimbledon final

With the Wimbledon Championships nearing their dramatic conclusion, tennis fans are set for a blockbuster semifinal featuring Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner.

These two have a rich history, but it is Roger Federer‘s opinion that has everyone talking, he sees Djokovic making it to yet another Wimbledon final.

Djokovic, already a seven-time Wimbledon champion, has navigated a challenging path to reach this year’s semifinals.

While he cruised through the early rounds without dropping a set, his run nearly came undone in the quarterfinals when he suffered a “nasty fall” against Alex de Minaur.

The Serbian legend, however, kept his composure and secured the win, later admitting he would seek physiotherapy before the crucial meeting with Sinner.

“It will be my great honour. I appreciate it,” Djokovic told Queen Camilla earlier in the week, showing his trademark focus despite the setbacks.

On the other side of the net, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner has also dealt with adversity. Sinner breezed through his initial matches, but a fall against Grigor Dimitrov left him nursing a sore elbow, forcing him to wear a sleeve during his quarterfinal win over Ben Shelton.

Sinner downplayed concerns after the match, telling reporters, “Yeah, I mean, when you are in a match with a lot of tension, you try not to think about it. It has improved a lot since yesterday to today… there is no better stage to play tennis, and I think I showed this today.”

Sinner‘s confidence only grew as he noted, “Time will always help and [Thursday] is one day off, which is going to be good for me, and Friday I’m going to be 100%.”

Federer’s Experience Tips the Scales Toward Djokovic

Roger Federer, who famously battled Djokovic 50 times in his career, was spotted near the All England Club and asked his thoughts on the looming showdown. “I think Novak,” he said without hesitation.

Federer’s vote of confidence is no small gesture. Djokovic‘s record on Centre Court, coupled with his ability to handle big occasions, gives the Swiss great reason to trust his instincts.

Fans remember the pair’s previous Wimbledon meeting well. At last year’s semifinal, Djokovic took down Sinner in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(4), displaying a clinical combination of power and poise.

Sinner, still learning the intricacies of grass-court tennis at the time, pushed Djokovic hard but could not overcome the Serb’s resolve.

That match further cemented Djokovic‘s aura at SW19, but since then, the balance has shifted, Sinner has claimed five of their last six encounters, including a major upset at the 2025 French Open semifinals.

The recent rivalry does little to shake Federer’s confidence in Djokovic. The Swiss icon recognizes the unique ability of Djokovic to rise in the moments that matter most, especially on Wimbledon’s famous grass

Who Will Triumph at Wimbledon – Djokovic or Sinner?

Both men have faced injury scares, both have navigated tough opponents, and both have something to prove.

Sinner now has the No. 1 ranking and is eager to make his first Wimbledon final, while Djokovic is aiming for an eighth title and to reinforce his legend at the All England Club.

With Federer‘s endorsement, the pressure is now on Djokovic to deliver yet again. As fans await this blockbuster semifinal, the stage is set for another classic at Wimbledon.

Will Djokovic live up to Federer‘s faith and return to the final, or will Sinner‘s recent form and confidence see him claim a career-defining victory?

The world will be watching as two generations of tennis excellence collide.

Andy Ruiz Jr Hints At Comeback With Lean Physique As The Former Anthony Joshua Conqueror – Flaunts Stunning Body Transformation.

EX-HEAVYWEIGHT champion Andy Ruiz Jr looks like a new man as he continues his drastic body transformation.

Ruiz Jr shocked the world six years ago when he stopped Anthony Joshua in the seventh round of their Madison Square Garden melee to become the first Mexican-born heavyweight champion.

The then 19-stone ‘Destroyer’ was soft around the edges, to say the least, as he scored one of the biggest upsets in modern-day boxing history.

He ballooned to over 20 STONE for their rematch in Saudi Arabia in December 2019, which he lost via unanimous decision.

Ruiz Jr demanded an immediate trilogy fight, saying: “I don’t want to say the three months of partying or celebrating didn’t affect me.

“As to tell you the truth, it kind of did.

“There’s no excuses, the partying got the best of me. The next fight is going to be a lot different.

The former champion has slowly but surely been chipping away at his frame with intense training and strict dieting.

And he’s now sporting an almost unrecognisable physique from the one he first fought Joshua in.

On Wednesday, the 35-year-old posted a mirror selfie of his much trimmer frame, which struggled to keep his shorts up.

His accompanying caption read: “The diet is hard. Slowly but surely. [A] work in progress.”

Joe Rogan Leaks The Biggest Insane Pay Ever For Oleksandr Usyk & Daniel Dubois Will Make For Boxing Rematch

UFC commentator and world-renowned podcaster, Joe Rogan, has leaked the extraordinary wad of cash Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are set to receive for their upcoming heavyweight boxing fight.

Usyk and Dubois fought once before, with the Brit famously dropping the unbeaten two-weight champion with a body shot that the referee adjudged to have been too low of a blow to count as a knockdown, before Usyk, who had a timeout to recover, rallied and won via ninth-round stoppage in 2023

Since then, Usyk has won back-to-back bouts against Tyson Fury, while Dubois enjoyed an incredible resurgence thanks to briliant wins over Filip Hrgovic, Jarrell Miller, and Anthony Joshua.

Their rematch takes place on the 19th of July at Wembley Stadium in London and both fighters will bring their respective world titles to the ring in an undisputed championship fight. While the pay was always expected to be high, Rogan’s comments underline just how handsomely the elite in boxing get rewarded for their talents.

Rogan leaked the pay during a conversation with UFC stars Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya.

“Bro, did you see the numbers that Usyk and Dubois are getting?” Rogan said.

He then revealed that Usyk stands to pocket $132 million, while Dubois will take $71 million to the bank, with both payments totaling $199 million — $1 million shy of previously-reported figures suggesting both fighters, combined, were always expected to make $200 million. It’s unclear, exactly, where Rogan has seen the breakdown.

Anthony joshua

“$132 million! $132 million and $71 million!”

“Yeah, look at the numbers. $132 million and $71 million. Yo! Yo, that’s crazy! Numbers for purses.”

The figures, if accurate, dwarf the pay that UFC fighters receive as champions as they rarely make eight figures, let alone nine. However, for boxing’s biggest bouts, we’ve seen time and again that there are boxers who command insane purses.

GIVE ME SPORT understands, for example, that Top Rank fighter Tyson Fury made more than $200 million for two Riyadh Season fights.

Floyd Mayweather made more than $200 million on two separate occasions in his career — against Manny Pacquiao, and Conor McGregor.

British Boxing Standout  Sunny Edwards Picks Out Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis As His Other Favourite Current Boxer

British boxing standout Sunny Edwards has revealed his admiration for one of the sport’s most electrifying talents — Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis. Known for his slick footwork, defensive genius, and outspoken personality, Edwards has never been shy about sharing his opinions. But when it comes to Davis, the usually brash Brit shows nothing but respect.

In a recent interview, Edwards named the undefeated American knockout artist as one of his favorite current fighters. “I love watching Tank fight,” Edwards said. “He’s one of the most explosive fighters in the game right now. He carries real power, but he’s also smart. People don’t give him enough credit for how intelligent he is in the ring.”

Gervonta Davis, who boasts an impressive undefeated record with the majority of his wins coming by way of knockout, has quickly established himself as a superstar in the lightweight and super lightweight divisions. His highlight-reel knockouts and ability to pull massive crowds have made him one of boxing’s must-see attractions — and clearly, Edwards is paying close attention.

While the two operate in different weight classes, Edwards competing at flyweight and Davis at lightweight/super lightweight, the mutual respect underscores Davis’s cross-divisional appeal. “There are not many fighters I really sit down and look forward to watching live — Tank is one of them,” Edwards added.

Gervonta davis

What makes Davis stand out to many, including Edwards, is his combination of power and precision. He doesn’t just throw bombs — he sets traps, calculates angles, and closes distance with frightening speed. Fighters like Davis are a rare breed, and it’s clear he’s earned the admiration of his peers as much as his fans.

Edwards, who has been eyeing big fights of his own following his move up in weight, often emphasizes boxing IQ and technical prowess — attributes that Tank also quietly excels in behind the knockouts. “He’s not just brawn, he’s brains too,” Edwards said.

As both fighters continue their respective journeys, fans can appreciate the mutual recognition between two of boxing’s sharpest minds and fiercest talents. And while a matchup between the two is unlikely given the weight disparity, Edwards’ endorsement of Davis adds even more shine to the already glowing reputation of Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

In a sport often divided by rivalries and heated debates, it’s refreshing to see top fighters show genuine appreciation for each other’s craft.

I Don’t Doubt Him: Leon Edwards Gives Winning Prediction On Terence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez

Leon Edwards is a huge boxing fan, and he is already looking forward to the undisputed super middleweight mega-fight, Terence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez.

Edwards has not fought since a submission loss to Sean Brady on the last UFC London card in March this year.

Crawford and Canelo are set to clash on September 13th in the first-ever TKO-promoted boxing event

Already, legends from across the boxing world have had their say, with many, including Shannon Briggs, predicting a late stoppage for the Omaha fighter.

Leon Edwards ‘won’t doubt’ Terence Crawford as he edges him to win Canelo Alvarez clash

The former UFC welterweight champion picked out ‘Bud’ as one of his favourite current fighters to watch, similar to Oleksandr Usyk, who ranks Crawford as his number one fighter.

Terence Crawford

And ‘Rocky’ has edged towards the American pound-for-pound star for this bout.

Speaking to Carl Froch, he said: “Crawford, he is the better boxer, but I feel like the size and the power and the natural weight (Canelo), I don’t know.

“From what he did to Spence I stopped doubting him… I feel like this fight I can’t go against him.”

The 33-year-old knows what a memorable performance is like after his crowning KO win against Kamaru Usman.

He will be hoping to see another masterclass from the modern great but understands the task that is in his way.

Edwards said: “He is the better boxer skill for skill, but Canelo is just Canelo, he is a powerhouse.”

Expect More “KO” As Anthony Joshua Conqueror Teases Comeback With Epic Body Transformation

Andy Ruiz Jr has slimmed down significantly in preparation for a return to the ring.

The Mexican-American puncher hasn’t boxed since last August when he was held to a disputed majority draw by Jarrell Miller in Los Angeles.

During the bout, Ruiz Jr sustained a fractured hand, which has kept him on the sidelines for the last 11 months.

However, he is now training and dieting again.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Ruiz Jr posted a picture of some food prep, with the caption: “Gotta start now and only eat protein for 3 weeks.

“Getting ready before fight camp.

‘The Destroyer’ then followed up his post with a shirtless snap, devoid of his famous gut.

“Slow but surely,” he wrote underneath. “Work in progress…”

Ruiz Jr usually operates between 255lbs and 265lbs, but for his last bout with Miller, he came in at 274lbs – his second heaviest weight to date.

The 35-year-old looked sluggish and was fortunate to scrape a draw.

Yet judging from recent pictures, he looks to be boiling down to his ideal fight weight as he starts the arduous climb back to the top.

Ruiz Jr tipped the scales at 268lbs when he stunned the boxing world by snatching the unified WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles from Anthony Joshua in June 2019.

The heavy underdog stepped in on five weeks’ notice to replace Miller after the American failed a trio of drug tests and dropped AJ three times en route to a shocking seventh-round knockout win.

A rematch was then booked for December, and while Joshua took himself away from all of the external distractions and left no stone unturned in training, Ruiz Jr’s camp was less than ideal.

Ruiz Jr admits he spent three months partying and celebrating his career-best win, leading to 15lbs of weight gain.

The stocky boxer came in at a whopping 283.5lbs for their sequel and laboured to a wide unanimous decision loss.

“There’s no excuses. The partying got the best of me. The next fight is going to be a lot different.”

Ruiz Jr never got his trilogy bout with Joshua, despite his best efforts, while his career has stagnated since their second meeting.

Jake Paul Calls out “A J” ,reveals the strong message Anthony Joshua sent to him ahead of potential 2026 fight

Jake Paul has continued to capture headlines after his last contest, this time by calling out Anthony Joshua.

The ‘Problem Child’ beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr by unanimous decision last weekend, which earned him a #14 cruiserweight ranking in the WBA.

But Jake Paul has now turned his attention to bigger opposition, in both name and stature.

Joshua is now in the influencer’s eyeline with an in-ring callout, now gaining traction in the world of boxing.

Jake Paul says Anthony Joshua warned him he’ll have to fight for his life

During the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight week, the Ohio boxer has been inundated with questions surrounding the potentially massive fight.

In an interview yesterday, he revealed the message AJ had over a phone conversation, he said: “He just said he’s going to do two more fights, I’ll do two more fights, then we will do it in 2026.

“And he said he is going to kill me and I’ll have to fight for my life and I was like let’s get it big boy.

Many believe the 28-year-old is not serious about a fight with the former heavyweight champion after he also called out lightweight Gervonta Davis in the same breath.

The 35-year-old has not fought since a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of their massive Wembley showdown.

An injury has so far derailed his comeback, with the Watford man trying to line up an opponent for the end of the year.

Matchroom Boxing CEO Frank Smith has poured cold water on any serious talks between the pair and ruled out Paul facing Joshua at the end of the year.

Smith also labelled the MVP promoter as a ‘great marketeer’ and said that he wouldn’t blame his fighter for taking a fight against a former ‘Disney star’.

While nothing is concrete, it seems the more he speaks something into existence, the more likely it is to happen.

He has fought Mike Tyson; he was close to fighting Canelo Alvarez, but now he may just land an inexplicable Joshua fight.

Tyson Fury Views Deontay Wilder’s Comeback As ‘Sad,’ Doesn’t Believe in Former Champion

Tyson Fury doesn’t like Deontay Wilder. Not even a little bit. But even he’s disturbed by what he’s been watching.
Fury said Wednesday that he’s returning to fight in 2026 for a Riyadh Season card that’s still to be determined.
When it comes to their rivalry, Fury closed that book shut in 2021 following back-to-back stoppage wins over him. Since then, things haven’t gone Wilder’s way.
He looked as explosive as ever against Robert Helenius in 2022, resulting in a quick first-round KO. But he fell off the map immediately after.
Joseph Parker schooled Wilder in 2023, pitching a near shutout. In 2024, the 39-year-old was beat down and stopped in the fifth against Zhilei Zhang.
As the losses continue to pile up, Fury has watched in the background. Quietly, the big man from the U.K. might’ve been rooting for Wilder. However, after seeing him lose time and time again, Fury has come to the realization that the former WBC beltholder simply isn’t the same.
It’s sad to see someone of Deontay Wilder’s ferocity just a shadow of his former glory,” Fury told several reporters recently.

Tyson fury

On a bright note, Wilder’s career is on an upswing. On June 27, he got back in the win column. Tyrrell Herndon was treated as a sacrificial lamb as Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) had an easy time at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas. He mostly toyed with him until he found the fight-ending shot in the seventh.
That win, he hopes, will become more common. Ultimately, he’s optimistic that his final destination is a showdown against current unified heavyweight titlist, Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury highly doubts that will happen. The speed, toughness and, of course, deleterious power, just isn’t there anymore, according to Fury.
Boxing takes no prisoners, and Father Time continues to be undefeated. So seeing Wilder decline rapidly isn’t a surprise to Fury, but he isn’t a fan of how the back end of his career is playing out.
“I’m sad for him.”

Tiger Woods: With A Bold $10b Will Tom Brady Step Into Jurassic Park with Tiger Woods in a Push to Revive an Extinct Giant?

In one of the most ambitious and surprising moves of their post-sports careers, golf legend Tiger Woods and NFL icon Tom Brady are reportedly joining forces in a bold, futuristic venture that seems ripped straight from a science fiction movie: a $10 billion project aimed at bringing an extinct species back to life.

The two sporting giants are said to be investing in Colossal Biosciences, a biotech startup based in Texas that specializes in the cutting-edge science of de-extinction. The company has already made headlines for its work to revive the woolly mammoth — but now, it has its sights set on something even more exotic: the moa, a 12-foot-tall flightless bird that vanished from New Zealand centuries ago.

While the moa doesn’t have the ferocious reputation of a T. rex, its size and prehistoric origins have drawn comparisons to Jurassic Park — and the idea of Brady and Woods backing such an effort is as bold as it is fascinating.

According to reports, Colossal’s latest initiative uses CRISPR gene-editing technology to recreate extinct DNA by blending it with the genome of a close living relative — in this case, likely the emu or ostrich. If successful, the result would be a living, breathing modern-day moa.

This isn’t just about science fiction. Colossal’s mission is deeply rooted in ecological restoration. The moa’s extinction left a major void in New Zealand’s native ecosystems. Scientists believe reintroducing it could help restore balance and biodiversity in the region.

Woods and Brady: Sports Legends Turned Scientific Backers

Tiger Woods and Tom Brady are no strangers to bold moves, whether it’s sinking a birdie on the 18th or engineering a last-minute touchdown comeback. But this project shows a completely different side of their ambition.

Sources close to the project suggest that both men were drawn to Colossal’s vision of fusing technology, sustainability, and conservation. Their backing could not only help fund the complex scientific process but also bring global awareness to the possibilities — and ethical questions — surrounding de-extinction.

“We’ve always pushed the limits in our sports,” Woods reportedly told a private gathering of investors. “Now, we’re backing a project that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in science.”

Brady echoed similar sentiments, noting that their goal is not just to make history in sport, but to help shape the future.

Not Without Controversy

Despite the excitement surrounding the project, it hasn’t come without criticism. Scientists and conservationists alike have questioned whether de-extinction is the right approach, pointing to possible risks:

Tiger woods

  • What if the revived species struggles to survive in today’s changed ecosystems?

  • Could it compete with or harm existing wildlife?

  • Is it morally right to bring back animals that evolution — or humans — erased?

Supporters argue that if done responsibly, de-extinction could offer a powerful tool for repairing damaged ecosystems and even combatting biodiversity loss in the face of climate change.
