“All for the Joshua Showdown” Dubois’ Trainer Speaks Out on Usyk’s Pre-Fight Party Controversy

Daniel Dubois’ trainer Don Charles insists the party before his KO defeat to Oleksandr Usyk was nothing new.

Dubois was brutally dropped and stopped by Oleksandr Usyk in the fifth round of their undisputed title clash at Wembley Stadium.

But the Briton faced immediate inquests from the boxing world, given that he arrived much later than his counterpart to Wembley Stadium.

Simon Jordan, talkSPORT host, revealed that a party had been thrown just hours before the event at Dubois’ home organised by his father.

There has been a huge backlash to the decision from across the boxing community regarding the decision to host so many people just hours before an undisputed fight.

But in an exclusive interview on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan, Charles insisted it was a tactic also used before he beat Anthony Joshua.

He explained: “Let’s retract that word, it wasn’t a party it was a gathering.

“The same gathering was used as the prep on fight day for the AJ fight, the day he won.

“A lot was made of it with the energy he walked out at for the Anthony Joshua fight. That gathering was taken from home to the dressing room for that fight.

“You Might Regret This Wish” –  Hearn Reacts Sharply to Shocking Joshua vs Jake Paul Clash Rumors

Eddie Hearn has given Jake Paul a clear warning about the dangers of fighting former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Since defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr via unanimous decision last month, Paul has been pushing for a chance to fight AJ.

Once again Paul has called Joshua out, this time in an interview with The Stomping Ground, suggesting the Brit star has ‘a weak chin’.

The American was watching at Wembley Stadium ringside as Oleksandr Usyk knocked out Daniel Dubois.

‘The Problem Child’ has also met with Turki Alalshikh recently, allegedly to try and get the fight over the line.

Joshua has been inactive in the ring since losing to Daniel Dubois last September, ending a four-fight win streak after his back-to-back defeats to Usyk.

A domestic clash between Tyson Fury and Joshua has always been a dream for fans and recent talk suggested that dream may be fulfilled should they both win their respective next fights.

But Fury insisted rather than a fight with Paul being a ‘tune-up’ for AJ, the American would dispatch him.

“I don’t know about tune-ups, I think Jake Paul knocks him out,” he told Ring Magazine.

Controversial Claim, Expert Shocks Golf World, Says Scottie Scheffler Outperforms Tiger Woods in This — ‘Not Even Tiger Deserved That Kind of Praise’

Scheffler won the 2025 Open Championship at Royal Portrush, bringing him a US Open away from winning the career grand slam, as Rory McIlroy did at Augusta.

He took the outright lead on Saturday and never looked back. There was a sense of inevitability about Scheffler lifting the Claret Jug come Sunday, even on Saturday afternoon.

Scheffler is inevitable, and Tiger Woods wasn’t, says Rob Lee

When Scheffler set his record for a major round on Saturday, entering Sunday with the lead, many thought it was over. They were correct.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Golf Podcast, Rob Lee said that Woods was not considered a sure bet for the win when leading like Scheffler is.

He said, “It was over on Saturday. Over. We wouldn’t even say that about Woods. Tiger was an amazing player, but I never felt like he was inevitable.”

He explained, “The Scheffler inevitability is because he never puts his ball in a position that Tiger would put his ball. Tiger could take a rogue double.”

Tiger Woods is the greatest of all time, according to most, including his great rival Phil Mickelson, but Lee said Scheffler’s cool temperament prevents him from giving up leads.

Tiger woods

He said, “I don’t think we’ll ever see the complete package like Tiger ever again. The fist pump, you could see how into it he was. The full Tiger package when he was in full flow was spellbinding, and the world had to watch.

“Scottie is a cold cat. He just goes around there, he’s turning up to do his job and his job is to beat the field, he goes away, spends time with his family and you’ll see him the next time doing exactly the same thing.”

Scheffler reflected on the importance of golf prior to the tournament, explaining that golf is what he does, not who he is. His healthy relationship with the sport, which is rare among the all-time greats, allows him to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

There was only one winner at Royal Portrush because of that.

Scottie Scheffler can win the career grand slam on his 30th birthday

A win at the 2026 US Open will complete the career grand slam for Scheffler, and that too seems inevitable. That day at Shinnecock Hills will be extra special for the world number one

The tournament will conclude on Scheffler’s 30th birthday on June 21st. It seems written in the stars for him to become the seventh player in the sport’s history to win all four major titles.

The celebration of McIlroy’s achievement at the Masters this year perhaps dilutes the gravity of what Scheffler is on the verge of achieving. We had to wait two decades between Woods and McIlroy’s completed slams, so the fact that we are close to another is ridiculous

The Golf Icon Tiger Woods Felt Shocked  as Son Charlie Woods Faces a Disastrous Start at Prestigious Tournament

Tiger Woods has been spotted on the grounds of Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas, as his son, Charlie, risks missing the cut at the prestigious U.S. Junior Amateur following a nightmare first round.

The golf icon, who is dating Vanessa Trump, has failed to grace the greens since missing the cut himself at last summer’s Open Championship in Scotland as he continues to battle various setbacks, most recently falling foul to a ruptured tendon in his left Achilles that effectively ruled him out for the entirety of the 2025 PGA Tour.

Instead, he has been making the most of his time by supporting his 16-year-old son, who has already this year won the Team TaylorMade Invitational in May and placed sixth in a field of 122 boys golfers at last month’s Nicklaus Junior Championship.

A successful playoff in Florida in June also secured his place at this week’s U.S Junior Amateur Championship, yet things haven’t quite gone to plan for Woods Jr., who risks repeating history from last year.

In the same tournament 12 months ago, the teenager finished 22-over-par in T240, and is at risk of heading that way once more after carding an 11-over 81 in Monday’s opening round to leave him nine adrift of the position he needs to progress in T242.

Charlie Woods

He now faces an almighty uphill battle to reach the knockout stages of an event his dad famously won three times in succession between 1991 and 1993, despite finding some consistency towards the end of his round.

Beginning on the 10th, Charlie made successive bogeys on his opening two holes before eventually securing his first par of the day at the 484-yard par 4 12th.

However, a costly double bogey on his fourth of the day, the par 4 13th, then followed, although things would continue to get worse before they got better when he recorded his third bogey of the day at the 615-yard par 5 15th.

After his opening six holes, Woods found himself five over for his round, yet further turmoil would follow with successive double bogeys at the par-3 16th and par-4 17th.

It wasn’t until the 432-yard par-4 18th when things finally started to turn in Charlie’s favor, with the youngster securing his first birdie of the tournament on his ninth hole of the day.

It still left the aspiring golfer eight over for the round and languishing in T228 of the 264-player field as he made the turn, 10 adrift of the position he would need to continue after Tuesday’s second round.

Charlie Woods

As he began the back nine, Charlie could only record another bogey on his 10th of the day before the fourth double bogey of his round came on his 12th.

Eventually, he managed to find some consistency with four successive pars between his 13th and 16th of the day, yet he could still only muster his fifth bogey of the day and his second birdie at the 18th to close out his round.

Lamont Roach Breaks His Silence With Shocking Update on Rematch Plans Following Gervonta Davis’ Arrest

Gervonta Davis was arrested on July 11 in Miami Beach due to allegations of assault on his ex-girlfriend. The reported incident took place on Father’s Day, June 15.

‘Tank’ Davis has been accused of hitting his former girlfriend on the back of the head, as well as slapping her, leaving the victim with a cut on the inner lip. The WBA lightweight champion was also filmed by the victim’s mother throwing a small object at her.

This has put serious question marks over Davis’ boxing future, including his rematch against Lamont Roach. Davis and Roach fought out a controversial majority draw in March, where ‘Tank’ took a deliberate knee but it wasn’t counted as a knockdown.

The pair has a scheduled rematch for August 16. However, there is speculation whether the fight would go ahead at all following Davis’ run-in with the law. Lamont Roach Jr has now confirmed the status of the fight, claiming Davis is already out of jail and the clash will go ahead as planned.

Gervonta davis

Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz have been linked with a mixed doubles pairing at the US Open, with the pair also believed to be close friends off the court

Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz, two of tennis’s most popular figures, could become “tennis royalty” and rake in millions by teaming up, according to a sports finance expert.

The young duo, both in their early twenties, have been the subject of dating rumors, which Raducanu quickly dismissed.

Despite this, they’ve committed to a high-profile mixed doubles partnership at the upcoming U.S. Open and are reportedly close friends

Sports finance expert Rob Wilson, in an interview with OLBG, suggested that the pair could leverage their popularity even more in the coming years.

Discussing their appeal to brands, Wilson said: “Raducanu and Alcaraz pairing certainly has brand alchemy as it has that tennis chemistry because they’ll obviously be able to win a fairly significant amount of money if they’re able to go far in the mixed doubles at the U.S. Open.

carlos alcaraz

“We’ve spoken about Emma Raducanu’s earnings quite a lot. She’s already banked in the region of around $15 million over the last couple of years without those deep tournament runs that we know are so essential for those commercial endorsements.

“I think her progress at Wimbledon this year, the way she’s re-captured some of the crowd and certainly column inches in the media, will really help her rise back up through those rankings a little bit and perhaps add to her commercial power.

“There is no doubt that partnering with somebody like Carlos Alcaraz on things like joint branding campaigns that mixed doubles novelty that we’re seeing and social traction that she might be able to get through brands like Nike, Dior, Porsche, etc, which are all likely to be big benefits for her..

“So together they can really kind of target that Generation Z, Generation Alpha demographic, be really active on social media, and almost become tennis royalty, But in order to cement that position, I think Emma really needs to be getting deeper into tournaments.”

Prior to the duo teaming up for the all-star mixed doubles showdown in New York, Raducanu will compete at the forthcoming Canadian Open. She’ll kick off her singles quest against Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports suggest that Alcaraz will choose to skip the tournament though, having made it to the Wimbledon final earlier this month.

The Federer Girls About to Make Their Grand Entrance, Roger’s Twin Daughters Mysteriously Spotted Training at Rafa Nadal Academy

A new visual of the great Roger Federer’s daughters has been making waves, as the duo was seen practicing at the Rafa Nadal Academy recently. The sight emerged when 43-year-old Federer visited Mallorca to meet his long-time friend and rival Rafael Nadal. The Swiss maestro seemingly spent some time on the courts, and also had some valuable interactions during his visit.

Federer’s daughters, Charlene Riva and Myla Rose, were born in 2009 – the same year when he decided to marry Mirka. Having first met his eventual wife at the Olympic Games in 2000 when they were both representing Switzerland, they went on to welcome two sets of twins in their life. While the 20-time Grand Slam champion admitted that his son Leo is “getting serious about tennis,” it seems like his daughters have also taken a liking to the racquet and ball.

In a recent social media post, Charlene Riva and Myla Rose were seen posing for an on-court photograph in their tennis attire. They will turn 16 on July 23, marking another celebration for the Federer family. The images emerged merely days after their father reunited with legendary Spanish southpaw Rafael Nadal. Between them, the pair shared 42 Grand Slams and 195 titles

“This is the greatest day of our lives,” said Federer in a statement after the couple welcomed Charlene Riva and Myla Rose into the world on July 23rd, 2009. They have been seen at multiple tournaments, supporting their father. “It’s been a lot of fun being a father and spending time with them,” revealed the former World No. 1 after their birth. “I’m hands-on as much as I can because every day is something new and something different. I don’t want to miss anything.”

Five years later, Mirka and Roger had another set of twins – Leo and Lenny Federer. Born on May 6th, 2014, the boys have received multiple mentions from their iconic father in interviews. “When the boys were born, I mean, that rocked the boat,” Federer told People Magazine in 2022. “Going on the road with four kids every single week was hard, to say the least. And from being maybe the dominator, I became the challenger. I liked that role as well – I actually really stayed hungry throughout

Terence Crawford’s Move to Super-Middleweight Could Open Door for Rising Star Diego Pacheco

As the boxing world turns its attention toward Terence Crawford’s highly anticipated clash with undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Álvarez, another storyline is quietly gaining momentum: the rapid ascent of 24-year-old contender Diego Pacheco, who could soon find himself in the title mix should Crawford’s move shake up the division.

Crawford, fresh off his dominant performance against Errol Spence Jr., has his sights set on an even greater challenge — dethroning Álvarez at 168 pounds. But while the spotlight remains on Crawford’s bold ambitions, fighters like Pacheco are positioning themselves to capitalize on any changes that follow.

Just days before Crawford and Álvarez are expected to confirm their historic showdown, Diego Pacheco delivered another commanding performance. On July 19, at The Star in Frisco, Texas, Pacheco scored a unanimous decision victory over Trevor McCumby, reinforcing his claim as one of the division’s most promising young talents.

With a towering 6’4″ frame, a sharp blend of speed and power, and an unblemished rise through the rankings, Pacheco has caught the attention of fans and matchmakers alike. He currently holds the No. 1 spot in the WBO’s super-middleweight rankings and is closing in on the top 10 in both the WBA and IBF lists.

Pacheco’s growing momentum aligns perfectly with Crawford’s timeline. If the Nebraska native manages to unseat Canelo and shake up the pecking order at 168, Pacheco could find himself fast-tracked to a world title shot.

“I feel that now I have the strength. I’m more focused than ever, and I’m ready,” Pacheco said earlier this year, following a dominant win over veteran Steven Nelson. That confidence was on full display again in his victory over McCumby, where he showcased both stamina and ring IQ across twelve rounds.

Following that win, Matchroom Boxing announced its intention to petition the WBO to name Pacheco as the mandatory challenger, further aligning his path with whatever outcome emerges from the Crawford–Canelo showdown.

Pacheco’s professional resume continues to impress. Since turning pro in late 2018, he’s notched eleven knockouts alongside key decision wins, all while building a strong profile stateside. Despite rejecting a proposed bout with Christian Mbilli in Canada over purse concerns, Pacheco remains focused on targeting top-tier opposition to justify a title eliminator.

“I’m building my name here in the U.S. Why would I go be the B-side in Quebec?” he explained. “I believe in my team, I believe in myself—and I’m ready for those big fights.”

Terence Crawford

As Terence Crawford prepares to leap into boxing’s highest echelon against Canelo Álvarez, fighters like Diego Pacheco are quietly getting ready for their moment. Whether Crawford upsets the balance at 168 or not, Pacheco is determined to be next in line—and if timing aligns, he could very well become the next breakout name in a post-Canelo era.

“Mayweather Questions Tank’s Readiness for Pacquiao: ‘After That Fight, I’m Not So Sure Anymore’”

Manny Pacquiao refuses to stay retired and rumors about his return to the ring are growing stronger. At 46 years of age, the former eight-division world champion seems determined to come back in force, and not just for one last fight, as was originally supposed

This was confirmed by the president of the World Boxing Council (WBC)Mauricio Sulaiman, who revealed that ‘Pacman’ will face Mario Barrios for the welterweight title on July 19

The announcement surprised both fans and analysts, who are now wondering what will happen if Pacquiao wins the belt, as it is not known how much longer he could remain active or who his future rivals would be.

However, during a press conference in Las Vegas, Pacquiao said he will make decisions about his future after the fight with Barrios, leaving the door open to the option of facing big names such as Ryan GarciaDevin Haney and even Gervonta Davis.

When is Manny Pacquiao vs Gervonta Davis fight?

This last possibility has especially caught the attention of fans, who are already speculating about a fight between the Filipino veteran and the undefeated Davis, known as “Tank”.

With the growing expectation for Pacquiao’s returnJeff Mayweather, former boxer and uncle of Floyd Mayweather, spoke about a possible duel between Pacquiao and Davis, raising the question of the agreed weight.

“What weight are they going to fight at? I think that’s going to influence a lot. Isn’t Pacquiao going to fight Barrios at 147 pounds or something like that?”Jeff asked, stressing that Gervonta Davis has never fought above super lightweight.

Gervonta Davis, currently at the peak of his career, would be the clear betting favorite due to his youth and fitness. However, Pacquiao, despite the inactivity and age difference, as he is 16 years older than Davis, has a long experience on the big stage.

Despite the favoritism towards Davis, Jeff Mayweather believes that the outlook is not as clear as it seems, especially after the American’s most recent performance

In March, Gervonta Davis had a tough fight against Lamont Roach Jr., which ended in a majority draw, leaving doubts about his performance.

“I think most would have thought that Pacquiao would have no chance, if it wasn’t for that bad performance by Tank,” said Mayweather“After that fight, believe me, there will be a lot of people who will say that Manny Pacquiao has a chance,” he concluded.

For now, nothing is confirmed, but the possible return of Pacquiao and his willingness to face the best of today is one of the most relevant topics in the boxing world.

Fight Fans Stunned as Pacquiao-Gervonta Davis Clash Looms in Explosive Comeback Twist

In a twist that has sent shockwaves through the boxing world, whispers of an electrifying super-fight between living legend Manny Pacquiao and unbeaten star Gervonta “Tank” Davis have suddenly evolved into serious speculation—leaving fans and insiders alike on the edge of their seats.

What began as quiet chatter in the back corners of fight forums and media circles has now erupted into a full-blown frenzy, with multiple sources hinting that the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, may be considering one last seismic return to the ring. And his chosen target? None other than the explosive and undefeated knockout artist, Gervonta Davis.

A Clash of Eras

Gervonta davis

This potential showdown represents more than just a boxing match—it’s a symbolic clash between two generations. On one end of the ring, you have Manny Pacquiao, a warrior whose legendary career spans over two decades, known for his relentless speed, thunderous combinations, and humble demeanor that made him a global icon. Pacquiao, who officially retired in 2021 after losing a decision to Yordenis Ugas, has stayed relatively close to the sport—teasing comebacks, participating in exhibitions, and never completely shutting the door on one last war.

On the other side stands Gervonta Davis, the face of the new wave of boxing: fast, flashy, ferocious, and undefeated. With a 30-0 record, including 28 knockouts, Davis has dismantled nearly every name in his path and has long been hailed as one of the most dangerous punchers in the sport. Mentored by Floyd Mayweather Jr., Davis embodies a modern style of power and precision that has captivated fans worldwide.

The Seeds of a Super-Fight

The first whispers of this fantasy bout began during a meeting earlier this year involving influential boxing figure Turki Alalshikh, known for orchestrating massive fight cards in Saudi Arabia. With the Middle East now a global hub for mega-fights, the financial and promotional foundation for a Pacquiao-Davis showdown could realistically take shape sooner than expected.

According to close sources, preliminary discussions have taken place—not just hypothetically, but with real interest from both camps. While nothing has been officially confirmed, those familiar with Pacquiao’s inner circle claim the Filipino icon is “very serious” about one final, legacy-defining fight before permanently hanging up his gloves.

This could be the biggest comeback story in decades,” said one industry insider. “Manny doesn’t just want another payday—he wants to prove he can still compete with the best of today.”

Meanwhile, Gervonta Davis has remained cryptic but notably open to the idea. When asked about the possibility of facing Pacquiao during a recent media appearance, Tank simply smirked and said, “I’ll fight anybody. Legends included.

Risk, Reward, and Relentless Anticipation

There’s no denying the stakes would be monumental for both men. For Pacquiao, this would be a high-risk, high-reward finale—an opportunity to cement his legacy with a modern-day scalp, or risk a brutal defeat that could taint the twilight of his career.

Gervonta davis

For Davis, it’s a different type of challenge. While he would enter the ring as a heavy favorite due to youth and power, fighting Pacquiao comes with its own pressure—namely, the burden of facing a legend who has defied odds more times than most can count. A victory would elevate Davis beyond current rivals and into the upper echelon of boxing immortality. A loss, however, could shatter the aura of invincibility he’s carefully built.
