We Don’t Judge Behind The Ring: Crawford Sparks After He dethrones Canelo to emerge as boxing’s new leading star.

Terence Crawford never wanted to be the face of boxing. He said it in fight week.

But after dismantling Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on Mexican Independence weekend, in front of 70,000 in Las Vegas and a likely record-breaking global audience on Netflix, he has no choice.

It wasn’t just a win. It was a career-defining, legacy-cementing, history-making performance.

Terence Crawford became the first male fighter to be undisputed champion across three weight divisions in the four-belt era.

Before the fight Alvarez had dismissed Crawford’s resume, claiming he had “fought nobody”.

Within an hour of victory Crawford fired back on social media.

“For all the nobodies,” he said. Cue a figurative mic drop.

From his breakthrough world title against Britain’s Ricky Burns at lightweight in 2014 to cleaning out light-welterweight and welterweight, and now dethroning the sport’s biggest star at super-middleweight after moving up two divisions, Crawford’s CV gleams with rare accomplishment.

Anthony Joshua

Boxing doesn’t always recognise greatness until it’s gone.

But right now we have two unbeaten fighters – Crawford and heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk – who are guaranteed hall of famers. Both are in their late-30s, proving that age is just a number.

There’s even that clip of them playing chess in 2018. A stalemate? Perhaps. Because how do you separate their achievements?

The kid from Omaha who once needed counselling for his temper and who survived a shooting moved through the ring with a serene, almost unreadable focus.

All week Crawford exuded unrelenting confidence. There was no doubt in his mind.

He was relaxed and smiling throughout fight week, unfazed by the occasion. Even when he wound up the Mexican fans by making his entrance to a mariachi band, there was never a flicker of doubt he wouldn’t back it up.

That same calm assurance carried into the post-fight news conference, where he beamed with satisfaction.

“When I set my sights on doing something and I know what I’m capable of, it’s not like a surprise to me,” Crawford said.

“It’s a surprise to you all because you all didn’t believe me. I knew I could do it. I just needed an opportunity.”

Asked when he knew he had beaten Alvarez, Crawford coolly responded: “When he signed the contract.”

Inevitable comparisons will now be drawn with American great Floyd Mayweather, but Crawford batted them away.

“Floyd was the greatest of his era. I’m the greatest of this era. There’s no need to compare,” he said.

Eddie Hearn hints: A Joshua vs Fury clash could become the most monumental showdown boxing has ever seen.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has described the potential showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury as “the biggest fight in boxing.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Matchroom chairman admitted he would “kick himself” if the two heavyweights never met in the ring.

“It would be a real, real shame if Tyson and AJ never fought. I don’t really have many regrets, but I think we would always kick ourselves if we never saw that fight. It’s the biggest fight in boxing,” Hearn said.

Joshua has not fought since suffering a knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in 2024, while Fury has been inactive since back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, after which he briefly announced his retirement. Despite that, Hearn is confident the unified heavyweight champion will return.

He added: “You can’t even compare anything we’ve done so far; Froch-Groves, AJ-Klitschko, Benn-Eubank. This is completely different. It shuts down the country. Two great fighters, two different personalities, and two individuals the British public have wanted to see face each other for so long. Tell me a bigger fight in boxing? It doesn’t exist.”

Joshua recently called Fury “dippy” on social media, a sign Hearn believes reflects the 35-year-old’s hunger for the fight.

“AJ has always held his tongue, but now he’s like, ‘why not?’ He wants this fight. We want the fight, we’re ready to talk. This isn’t goading Tyson Fury, it’s just facts,” Hearn said.

According to Hearn, Joshua is eyeing a tune-up fight in early 2026, while Fury may also want one before talks of a blockbuster clash can truly begin.

“The good news is that AJ has recovered, injury-free and ready to start training camp,” Hearn said. “He’s fired up and still has a lot to give. And if you look at Fury’s social media, he’s training again, which gives me hope. I think people around him feel like he’ll return.”

Anthony Joshua’s Comeback Explodes with Shocking Twist as Promoter Drops Date for Historic Fight

Anthony Joshua seems to be inching closer and closer to a return by the day, with the ex-champion now closing in on a specific date for a comeback.

Sidelined from action since last year, Anthony Joshua has been linked with all sorts of opponents in recent weeks, as he plans a return to the ring as soon as 2026

And with the likes of Tyson Fury floated for the Watford favorite in a hiatus-snapping return of his own, Joshua is now lined up for a definitive date.

If the return in question comes to fruition, too, it would mark a debut outing for Joshua in a certain region for the first time in his decorated heavyweight career.

As well as pairing with Fury, Joshua has also been urged to fight the likes of Jake Paul — a bout he has missed out on for the time being, as well as a pairing with fellow Olympic gold medal winner Tony Yoka.

And following recent talks for a potential blockbuster outing in Africa as soon as next year, Joshua’s long-time promoter, Matchroom Boxing leader Eddie Hearn, revealed the former two-time champion is gearing up for a return in February.

“Yeah, I’d love him (Anthony Joshua) to [fight in Africa],” Hearn told IFL TV. “[In] February. I think it would be amazing. Yeah, Ghana. In Accra.”

Notably, a debut outing in Africa for Joshua would see the megastar fight in the UK, North America, and the Middle East throughout his illustrious career in the ring.

Staking his claim for a grudge match with former WBC heavyweight gold holder Fury in his immediate return to the ring, Joshua has long been linked with an all-British pairing with the Morecambe superstar.

However, as far as Hearn is concerned, the Watford star is likely set to receive a warm-up fight of sorts in his immediate return.

Staking his claim for a shot at Fury in his first venture to the ring since his loss to Daniel Dubois, former titleholder Joshua issued a scathing call-out to the former champion.

Beneath the Fame: Tiger Woods’ Daughter Sam Alexis Reveals the Hidden Weight of a Legendary Legacy

Tiger Woods, the most famous name in the golf scene, has had a life full of ups and downs, especially in his private life. The scandals in which he found himself deepened the crisis for this famous golfer, and the divorce from Elin Nordegren was a particularly difficult moment for him.

However, some believe that the greatest consequences were felt by his children, who had to grow up without two important figures together. In addition to everything, the death of Kultida Woods, Tiger’s mother, left a mark on everyone, and it seems especially on his daughter Sam Alexis Woods, who was most connected to her grandmother.

As a result of the scandal in which he found himself almost 15 years ago, Tiger Woods expressed his frustration with the behavior of the media and journalists who followed his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter to school, reporting on the location. Alexis Woods certainly had a clearer picture of everything that happened growing up, but as a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, she could not understand the entire chaos that was happening around her.

All this had a huge impact on her.

Tiger has pointed out many times so far that he is guilty of the affairs he had. They were also the main reason for his divorce.

In addition to the fact that Sam had to grow up in such a way, Tiger’s work and absence also left consequences, considering that the popular golfer had a full calendar, and was mostly away from home. This is the reason why she in some way created an aversion to golf, which was later admitted by Tiger.

However, it does not end there: the 48-year-old golfer almost lost his life in a traffic accident in LA when Sam was 13 years old. As a teenager, and not a two-year-old child, she could understand more clearly what happened, and probably such a moment was the biggest trauma for her.

Things like this show that the lives of children of celebrities are not always filled with positive things, but that every life carries various trials and struggles.

“I’M Ending Your Career” – Gervonta Davis Declares Lamont Roach’s Career Over During Heated FOX Rematch Interview

Boxing fans got more drama than they bargained for when Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Lamont Roach Jr. sat down for a FOX Sports interview to promote their potential rematch. What was supposed to be a standard pre-fight media appearance quickly escalated into a verbal war, with Davis exploding at Roach and firing off a chilling warning: “I’m ending your career!”

The Build-Up to the Rematch

The tension between Davis and Roach has been simmering for months. Their first clash ended in controversy, with Davis retaining his title in a decision that many fans and analysts believed was too close to call. Roach and his camp have since been demanding a rematch, claiming they had exposed weaknesses in Davis’ game plan and were robbed of a rightful victory.

FOX, seeing the hype surrounding the unfinished business, invited both fighters for an on-air sit-down. What followed was less about technical breakdowns and more about raw, unfiltered hostility.

Davis Snaps Mid-Interview

The interview began civil enough, with Roach insisting he was ready to make adjustments and finish the job in a rematch. But when Davis was pressed on whether he underestimated Roach in their first meeting, the undefeated champion’s demeanor changed.

“I didn’t underestimate him,” Davis said, leaning forward with intensity. “I carried him. He should be grateful he even went the distance with me. But I promise you—this time, I’m ending his career.”

The words sent shockwaves across the boxing world, immediately trending across social media platforms. Fans flooded timelines with reactions ranging from excitement to concern, some even calling Davis’ statement more personal than professional.

Roach Fires Back

Not one to back down, Lamont Roach Jr. refused to be intimidated. He smirked and shot back at Davis:

“You didn’t carry me, you survived me. The only reason you still got that belt is because the judges saved you. You’re talking about ending careers? No, Tank—your time is up.”

The exchange set the tone for what could be one of the most volatile and highly anticipated rematches of the year.

Why the Rivalry Runs Deep

Davis is no stranger to trash talk, but his threats to end Roach’s career suggest this rivalry goes beyond typical promotion. Insiders point to a mix of ego, reputation, and pride. For Davis, a dominant performance would silence critics who claim his last fight exposed flaws. For Roach, this is about legacy—proving he belongs among the elite and that the first fight wasn’t a fluke.

Fans React to the Heated Exchange

Gervonta davis

The boxing community wasted no time weighing in. Former fighters, trainers, and fans lit up comment sections and podcasts with their takes. Some praised Davis for bringing the fire and selling the fight, while others warned that his emotions might be clouding his preparation.

“Tank has the power to back it up,” one fan posted. “But Roach already got under his skin. That could be dangerous.”

What’s Next?

Negotiations for the rematch are still in motion, but the interview has made one thing clear: both men are locked in for war. FOX is expected to push hard for the bout to headline a major card, and with this kind of animosity fueling the promotion, pay-per-view numbers could skyrocket.

For now, the boxing world waits with bated breath. Will Davis truly “end” Lamont Roach’s career, or will Roach shock the world and flip the script on the self-proclaimed face of boxing?

One thing is certain: when these two finally meet again, it won’t just be another fight—it’ll be personal.

Lamont Roach Reacts As Gervonta Davis’ As July 11 Arrest Puts Rematch In Jeopardy

Gervonta Davis has been arrested in Miami for domestic violence. ‘Tank’ was set to have a rematch against Lamont Roach Jr on August 16, but the situation has taken an unexpected turn after the charges against Davis were revealed.

As per reports, Davis assaulted his ex-girlfriend of four years with whom he had two kids. On Father’s Day, June 15, he reportedly arrived at his ex-girlfriend’s house to pickup his kids before getting into the altercation in which he is accused of hitting her on the back of the head and slapping her in the face, leaving a cut inside her lip.

The victim’s mother also recorded part of the incident on her phone, where Davis was spotted throwing an object at his ex-partner.

It isn’t Davis’ first run in with the law, and if the allegations are true, the WBA lightweight champion could be subject to heavy punishment. And with Davis set to face Roach in a little over a month on August 16th, there is serious doubt whether it will go forward as planned at this point.

Roach gave ‘Tank’ the hardest fight of his career in their March showdown, which ended in a controversial majority draw. And Roach has now reacted to Davis’ recent arrest. In a post on social media, ‘The Reaper’ joked that he knew all along Davis was scared of the rematch, writing:

In another tweet, Roach noted that he hopes Gervonta Davis hasn’t actually done what is alleged because he doesn’t wish jail time on anyone.

The latest allegations against Davis, if proven true, could have significant consequences for a fighter like ‘Tank’ Davis in the current climate. And apart from the rematch, it could also potentially mark the end of Davis’ boxing career.

Lamont Roach Jr Nears Ring Return After Shocking Davis Rematch Negotiations Collapse

AFTER the frustration of failing to land a rematch with Gervonta Davis, the next step in Lamont Roach Jr’s career looks set to be revealed in the coming days.

The WBA super-featherweight champion almost defied the odds and public expectations on March 1 when he earned a draw against WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn. The 114-114, 113-115 (Roach), 114-114 scorecards were met with discontent, with many believing Roach deserved the win. The outcome may have been different had Roach been awarded a 10-8 round in the ninth, when Davis went to a knee from a jab. Referee Steve Willis initially looked set to administer an eight-count but changed his mind. Davis later claimed the knockdown was the result of hair product getting into his eyes.

A Davis-Roach rematch had been lined up for August, but the fight was scrapped after Davis was arrested in July for allegedly striking his ex-girlfriend. Last month, all charges against the 30-year-old were dropped.

Another twist followed soon after when Davis announced he would face Jake Paul in an exhibition on November 15.

Roach’s manager, Roberto Diaz, told Boxing News what “The Reaper” is hoping for next, amid rumours of a clash with Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz.

“He told me, when he realised the rematch wasn’t happening, ‘Go get me the biggest fight out there.’ He’s willing to fight anybody. He wanted Shakur [Stevenson]. There’s several names out there that I was like, ‘Wow, really?’

“Hopefully, we get the announcement soon and the fans will be very happy.”

Reaction to Davis vs. Paul has been largely negative.

Davis is regarded as a pound-for-pound talent and a multiple titleholder, yet has chosen to step away from the professional circuit to face a man who will enjoy significant height and weight advantages for a lot of money.

Terence Crawford

“When they made the announcement that he’s fighting Jake Paul it was sort of a little bit of a shock,” Diaz said.

“At the end of the day he’s one of the top names in boxing, one of the top draws in boxing. We saw it at the first fight. He showed up five hours late for the press conference, two hours late for the weigh-in. We got to dance to the beat that’s given. Until we win, until we knock him out, until we take it – go do your thing ‘Tank’. And we hope to see you next year so we can do it again.”

With No Charges Filed: Charges Against Boxing Superstar Davis Suddenly Dropped in Domestic Case

Domestic violence charges have been dropped against unbeaten world lightweight boxing champion Gervonta Davis over a June incident with his ex-girlfriend.

The Miami-Dade County Clerk’s Office website showed a misdemeanor battery charge was discharged on Tuesday when the woman declined to prosecute Davis.

The 30-year-old American had been involved in a Father’s Day incident outside the home of the woman, who has two children by the fighter, and was arrested on July 11 in Miami Beach.

Davis, a southpaw boxer, is 30-0 with one draw and 28 knockouts. His most recent bout was a controversial majority draw against compatriot Lamont Roach in New York last March in which Davis kept the World Boxing Association lightweight crown.

It’s not known when Davis will return to the ring, although there had been talk of a rematch with Roach, 25-1 with two drawn and 10 knockouts, before the arrest.

Anthony Joshua Delivers Ruthless Reply to Proposal from Unbeaten 41-Year-Old Boxing Icon for Return Bout

Anthony Joshua channeled his inner Canelo Alvarez when responding to Andre Ward’s offer for a potential fight.

Joshua is gearing up for his return to the ring, having been inactive since he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in September last year.

While he is believed to be making a return in late 2025, or at the beginning of 2026, Joshua’s opponent is yet to be officially announced.

One man that is vying for the spot in the opposite corner is, former professional boxer, Andre Ward.

Ward was a hugely respected pound-for-pound fighter in his heyday, although he has been retired since 2017.

The American left the ring with an unbeaten professional record of 32-0, but is now suggesting he’d make a return if Joshua accepts his offer to fight.

Ward took to Instagram when he suggested in a video: “There’s one name that I brought up before that when you say that name I can see myself fighting him. Present day. Today.

“If the business was right and everything was right on that front, me and Anthony Joshua.

“That’s a fight that I would take at Wembley Stadium. It’s a dangerous fight for my legacy, it’s a dangerous fight across the board. But that’s a fight that would get me in the gym and get me in the mindset that I need to be in to go to war.

Joshua quickly hit back suggesting that this is purely a financial move from Ward.

He savagely said: “Pay Day Pay Day [Canelo voice].”

Which then sparked a back-and-forth between the pair in the comment section of Ward’s post.

To which Joshua replied: “Don’t come asking for multi millions to fight me. Put your pride before your ego and let’s rumble.”

That was where their public interactions came to a close, although Joshua continued to respond to fans remarks in the same comment section.

Who will Anthony Joshua be fighting next?

Ward seemed serious in getting a chance to fight Joshua, but as it stands the Briton is heavily linked to a fight with another American instead.

Paul recently met with Saudi boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh to discuss the terms.

Anthony Joshua

Having already verbally agreed to fight it seems to be a matter of when, not if, we see them share the ring.

Joshua’s long-term promoter and Matchroom Boxing chairman, Eddie Hearn, issued Paul a warning should their bout go ahead.

It seemed to be a humorous idea at one stage, but now as the conversations are progressing we may seriously see a match up between Joshua and the Youtuber-turned-boxer after all.

Protective Tiger Woods Surprises Fans by Putting Son in the Spotlight at PNC Championship

Tiger Woods : No body who owns a yacht named Privacy is likely to pursue publicity. Tiger Woods has made the keeping of secrets an art form despite spending the majority of his life as one of the most recognisable people on earth. Hank Haney, the golf coach, once told the story of being chastised by his star client for giving a television executive a nod towards Woods’s likely schedule. Any member of the media who claims they properly know Woods is spoofing; there is deliberate, visible distance kept between the 15-times major winner and all but those within his inner sanctum. So many questions, so few answers.

Against this backdrop, the profile given to 13-year-old Charlie Woods – and at his father’s own volition – is intriguing. The PNC Championship in Orlando ordinarily provides a bit of hit-and-giggle for high-profile golfing families but the now routine involvement of Team Woods raises interest levels significantly.

Including to the point where it can make for uncomfortable reading or listening. This weekend, we have seen Charlie’s divot pattern assessed. Every pose and swing is likened to his iconic father. This is a child, subject to the kind of scrutiny that would be deemed unhealthy by plenty of onlookers. How does Charlie seamlessly return to the classroom having been plastered all over the Golf Channel for 72 hours?

Charlie Woods

What makes this situation so intriguing is that Tiger, such a fiercely protective father, is better placed than anybody to comprehend the attention placed on his young son. The pair can play golf within Floridian-gated communities, away from prying eyes, whenever they choose.

Instead, Tiger thinks it useful – and now more than once – to catapult Charlie into public view with golf club in hand. Equally interesting is that Charlie, for all we can reasonably tell, relishes the environment. He has no apparent desire to shun the limelight or wilt as cameras click and golf analysts swoon.

Tiger’s connection to his own father, Earl, has always been key to a story of sporting greatness. Sufficient evidence has been produced to suggest Earl was not the most pleasant of characters and some of his “training” of an emerging Tiger would equate to child cruelty in modern terms, but the US army veteran was perfectly correct when insisting his was a child who would change golf.

Tiger was not so much a project for Earl as an obsession, which in turn seems to have fuelled the tunnel-vision approach of a golfer who was a Masters champion at 21. This was no ordinary relationship, which produced no ordinary golfer.
