Canelo Alvarez Could Unleash Brutal, Iconic Knockout on Terence Crawford, Warns Ryan Garcia
Ryan Garcia believes Canelo Alvarez’s power will stop Terence Crawford in his tracks.
Canelo and Crawford are set to go head-to-head in a super-fight on September 13.
The Mexican will defend his undisputed super middleweight belts when he enters the ring with ‘Bud’.
As the anticipation for their bout grows, predictions are quickly being made on which of the pound-for-pound greats will emerge victorious.
Fellow professional boxer, Garcia, has voiced his opinion on the matter in a clip shared on social media.
He said: “Right now, I would put my money on Canelo Alvarez. I can see Crawford getting knocked out in Amir Khan style.
When Canelo fought Khan in 2016, the former delivered what is widely regarded as the most devastating punch of his career.

Khan later compared Canelo’s knockout punch to being ‘hit with a baseball bat’.
When the Briton weighed in on fight night he was 158lbs, whereas Canelo scaled in at 187lbs.
The American has never competed above super welterweight in his illustrious 41-0 career.
Although his physical changes are glaring, there are doubts among the boxing fraternity the Canelo will prove too much for Crawford.
Garcia continued: “I think Crawford is going to try and implement what Floyd did. Stand his ground a little bit. He doesn’t have the same defense as Floyd. That’s the thing.
“I do see him taking that same approach by standing his ground and hold his ground. I wouldn’t say try to push Canelo back. Hold his ground.”

Recognising that Crawford will try and hold some dominance in the ring after piling on the muscle mass, Garcia stands firm that he will be shocked if the American wins.
He said: “This is the first time that Canelo has been bigger than someone in a long time.
“I’m definitely going to back Canelo, but Crawford is a great fighter, and he can surprise me.”
How is Canelo Alvarez preparing to fight Terence Crawford?
Canelo was in action earlier in the year when he completed full unification in the division with victory over William Scull in May.
Victory will not be easy with Crawford yet to be beaten in the professional ranks.
To prepare, Canelo has been sparring the Olympian Darrelle Valsaint to try and up the ante in what has been yet another rigid training regime.
Valsaint is a super welterweight boxer, alike to Crawford before he made the move to challenge Canelo for his crown.
